She disappeared off the balcony in her room while her father was on the other side of the patio door. He claims that he saw her legs at 5:30 but at 6 she had vanished. He wouldn't have been in a deep sleep from 5:30 - 6, so if she got up, opened the patio door, walked through the room, entered the hallway and closed the door, her father should have heard something. He heard nothing. I think it's very hard for the family to accept that she is gone and so they are holding on to the hope that somehow she was the victim of foul play, but the facts suggest that one minute she was on the balcony and the next, she wasn't. The only place to go is over the railing.

Please don't quote something I said to justify a supposition. He fell asleep for about 20 minutes, Ron Bradley said. How can anyone say what level of sleep Amy's dad was in? Is it possible he or his wife have said he's a light sleeper and would have woken up if Amy walked thru the room?
I've read repeatedly in these posts that it was highly improbable that Amy went over the balcony, and if she had, she's a great swimmer, and if she hadn't survived a hypothetical fall, it would be probable some indication would have been found on a beach. Was the balcony off her room or the parents' room? I didn't see where it was said she or her brother had to go thru the parents' room or would disturb the parents' sleep. IIRC, Amy's brother had been on the balcony briefly as well before he went inside.

This has nothing to do with what I said. There are numerous and plentiful ways to get a person off a ship that size. Have you ever seen the size of one of those things? They are enormous. Putting Amy and this case aside for a few minutes, think this thing thru. They must have had all sorts of things coming and going off that ship while they're docking. The passengers disembarking and perhaps laundry or trash and personal belongings and maybe changing personnel. With everything going on, I'd think it would be a piece of cake to hide someone or something the size of a person. Think how much is going on with a jet getting ready to leave the gate, and that's only a couple hundred people as opposed to thousands. Consider how well the staff knew their ship.

Maybe you've already covered this, but I am confused as to why the taxi driver claimed to have seen Amy in the parking lot.

Has it already been discussed: When Amy disappeared, did her passport disappear with her? Was she carrying a key or did she have any ID on her?

  • #305
someone posted a while back i think it was find amy or someone else that it was highly unlikely she was ever in the parking lot running around

one of the reasons was she had no shoes
the parking lot was right next to the ship or something so she could have went into the ship.

the sighting could have been someone trying to make it look like she was in the parking lot and the people who took her could have found someone to look like her

what was Amy's line of work? Was she a CPA or something like that?

Amy graduated from Longwood University with a four year athletic scholarship. She earned a degree in education, but she was preparing to begin a job with a computer company, at the end of the cruise. She was also preparing to begin graduate school for a master's degree.

Amy had a wonderful boyfriend. She had just moved to a new apartment and purchased a car she loved. She adopted a dog and planned to pickup the dog when she returned from the cruise. She was a very successful young woman and she had a great future ahead of her.

Find Amy-thank you for posting. When reading your thoughts as well as the accounts of the sightings of Amy, and also considering that there is confidential information the public doesn't know, I definitely believe Amy was taken from the ship and could still be alive today. I don't believe she went overboard.
So, is it safe to assume that there have been verified sightings since 2005? I wish we had those details. I assume they are being kept confidential to protect the investigation.
Find Amy-I can't imagine why she was taken if you don't believe it was for prostitution. Why was she seen in brothels and on the adult website? For what end? Drug trafficking doesn't make sense. She could get caught in customs or something and then the jig is up and she could be identified. She doesn't fit the profile of someone who could be forced into drugs or prostitution. She was not on drugs, a runaway, or disenfranchised/living in poverty. Why would they target Amy out of every passenger on that ship? Smart, educated, clean cut, from a nice family. What could she possibly do for them? If she saw or knew too much it would have been easier for thugs to dispose of her instead of ferreting her around for 15 years. What value does she have? I think we have to analyze what purpose someone like Amy would have served to these people to get to the bottom of this. The problem is, I can't come up with anything.

I really do feel badly, but I can't answer some of your questions. As I explained before, information about sightings has not been shared with the public since Barbados in 2005. This is for the integrity of the investigation and Amy's safety. Details from the previous sightings have not been shared, either. I will tell you that this is not a cold case. It is an active investigation.

We don't know why Amy's photograph appeared on the escort resort website because there was absolutely no evidence that she had ever been there. Her photographs don't even match the rest of the escorts. I have personally wondered if someone wanted us to think that she was an escort or prostitute. It seems pretty dumb to me to post the photograph of a high profile missing American woman on an escort website.

The "brothel" where she was seen in Curacao was not a brothel. In Curacao, prostitution is legal and there are designated brothels. Amy was seen in an old hotel in the Ortobanda section of Willemstad. It was not a brothel, although I'm sure there were some prostitutes legally available through the hotel. The hotel had a bar that was an attraction in the harbor area. This is where the Navy sailor saw Amy and she spoke to him. He never reported that she was trying to attract a "client" and he never said that anyone was pimping her out. She might have just been staying there with the two handlers because the hotel was a regular hotel for guests. It burned down about a year later. It was an old hotel that was probably built in the early 1900s.

i wonder if the fbi knows more about those men in the photos and they are watching them. they must have an idea of where she is being kept

Find Amy-that makes sense. Maybe the people who have her were simply throwing off investigators by posting her picture on the website. Or perhaps it was just some kind of fluke. When Amy's case has been featured in media, they really focus heavily on the prostitution angle, but maybe that is totally not the case. This case just gets more and more bizarre to me. I just can't figure out why out of 3,000 people on that ship Amy was taken. She seems a little timid. Maybe they thought she could be easily coerced. Just can't figure it out. Find Amy-thanks for posting and responding. I really hope they are close to finding Amy!

Also-to dispute the overboard theory--Her family has not had her declared dead, and this investigation is open and active. There are concrete and obviously confidential reasons why the family has not done that.

It is my understanding that our FBI went to the escort resort in Venezuela and did an investigation. Not too long after that, the resort was closed down by the Venezuelan government. The FBI does not share information at all.

I did not watch any of the TV shows that covered this case...so why in the heck does this guy look so familiar to me? I thought he looked like an actor I did'n't know the name, so last night for 3 hours I searched high and low at pictures of actors and couldn't find anything. Why then is this picture really grabbing me like if I seen him before? Did I see this sketch before but don't recall? What stands out to me is the distance between the nose and mouth.....I mean really I see this guy in the flesh! His sides are are a little grey that isn't shown in this picture.

I lived and grew up in Fla, lived in NYC, lived in Azores, Philippines, Hawaii, Montana, NJ, Texas, New Mexico....every now and then I feel I get a hit on a memory but it never comes. It must be a coincident only or looks strongly like someone I've seen.

It still bugs me! Hopefully I will remember more.

Lera213, this man was identified as being with Amy in a Barbados department store bathroom in March of 2005. He was one of four men who were with Amy as "handlers" that day. They were seen in the store and also walking on the street with Amy.

If you have watched the Vanished program, you will remember that the American witness spoke to Amy in the bathroom. Amy's handlers thought that Amy was in the bathroom alone.

That artist sketch is available at the FBI website. I also posted information about seven pages back. If you have seen this man please contact the Bradley family at TeamAmy@Hotmail. com.

Thanks FindAmy if I can remember more I will call. I did not watch any of those programs! I didn't even know about this case until yesterday.

This man, If and a big if I met him, is Puerto Rican...that is all I can remember at this time.

The difference in the information that is being provided here by Find Amy in comparison to other sites is that in addition to discussing the verified sightings of Amy, FA is also including personal thoughts about the case. FA has explained that he or she is someone who is close to the case/family. When you take all of this information and lay it out, there is compelling evidence that Amy did not simply walk away from her life willingly. FA knows information that we do not, and we have to remember that. I believe that Royal Caribbean's claim that 100 people saw Amy living happily in the Caribbean was discounted, but I don't know where I read that. Maybe someone has the link?

Send Iva and Ron Bradley an email at [email protected]. This email is also at their website. You are correct about the space above his upper lip. It is something that the witness also pointed out.

I thought the purpose of a "Featured" case was to get renewed interest in the case? Maybe I was wrong.

Thank you Mystery Maven. You are correct about Royal Caribbean. They were horrible to the Bradley family. They tried every legal dirty trick in the book. I personally believe that they feared a tremendous liability because Amy disappeared from their ship. It would have been very difficult for Amy to have fallen from the balcony as an accident. The railings are too high. She likely would not have landed directly in the water because there would have been impact at another point and there would have been forensic evidence. If she did fall directly into the water, she was a lifeguard and competition level swimmer. The ship was close to shore by 6:00AM.

Alister Douglas was seen by a number of people with Amy in the open disco area and the glass elevator. He was also identified by David Carmichael as being with Amy in Porto Marie, six months later. Royal Caribbean sent their attorneys to David's home in Canada to harrass him. Can you just imagine the liability that Royal Caribbean would incur if a court ever finds Alister Douglas guilty of kidnapping Amy Bradley? Alister Douglas was on Rhapsody of the Seas as an employee of Royal Caribbean.
