Elepher50, I would love it if you could post the English version of BBC doc.thanks!
Also wanted to say hello and welcome to WS and to this thread to everyone coming on to help!. I apologize in advance for my poor typing and computer skills, but hope to be supportive regardless!

On another note, the red-haired man does seem familiar somehow, whether it is because he fits a common look, or because his composite has" graced" these threads before, I do not know - but will keep eyes open.
Wondering if Amy has a distinctive voice and if a recording of it has ever been released?

I have started an upload and will link the "non descriptive title" for WS members to view the English version. It will take about an hour for the upload to complete.

Also just to stress re my remark about not being welcome - I don't want/need appreciation - I just think a basic 'hey, welcome to Websleuths' from someone might have been nice :)
Respectively snipped for space.

While I'm not convinced that Amy was taken for this purpose, the sentence I bolded below got my attention re: how she could be being moved around. Money talks.

Bakhuis says he's providing a service for the island, its tourists and the women as well.

"I don't have to advertise. There are many girls who want to come. They write us a letter. We get them papers. When the girls go home, they spend their money and tell their girlfriends," he says.

  • I suppose Curacao hospital records are not released, but have they been checked by the FBI (info not released) in the years that Amy has been missing by her captors?
  • I suppose no one in Curacao has ever matched a persons of interest photo with someone they know/have known? What are Curacao people afraid of?
  • Is Amy's jewelry visible in the photos?
  • How did Amy Bradley get to San Francisco (seen on 4/18/03)? By personal boat, personal aircraft, cruise line, or commercial aircraft?
  • Are divorce records and death records checked? Once the captors (even though no name/have a face) are possibly divorced or deceased a spouse or other is more willing to come forward, and tell what they know.
  • Are jails and prison records checked for their faces in books (crazy thinking?)? Cases other LE are working on?
  • When was the last time the fliers were updated?
Just thinking ...

Who's Taken Our Daughter?
-- Cliff Van Zandt

Many news reports and statements from visitors to certain Caribbean island nations have suggested that bartenders or patrons of these bars have been known to use so-called "date rape drugs," e.g., GHB and Rohypnol (roofies), to take advantage of unsuspecting female patrons, with others suggesting that such drugs are used to render specifically targeted women unconscious in order to facilitate their transportation as victims of white slavery kidnappings. The truth of such allegations of drug-induced white slavery are unknown, and the statistics to support this belief as directed against American women in these bars are nonexistent.

The trafficking of human beings is the third most financially lucrative business in the world, ranking close behind weapons sales and drugs, and is believed to generate "sales" of seven billion dollars per year. The international community has only recently begun to fully realize the depth and complexity of this problem and its global impact. Moreover, the changing nature of this use of human beings as chattel has meant that human trafficking is no longer a term used only to describe women and children forced into prostitution; but other forms of involuntary servitude as well.

Human trafficking requires both sophisticated and extensive networking, something akin to that used by international organized crime groups, some of which are overtly supported or at least allowed to exist by crooked politicians, intentionally blind banks, dirty cops, and other criminal networks worldwide.

Quoting self here - am in process of splitting the video so I can get it uploaded onto Youtube for WS members to view. Just fussing my way through this. Sorry for the delay.

Just cruising around while the video files are splitting for upload of the English version of the documentary.

And not hi-jacking Amy's thread but there is another gal on the AAV site that looks an awful lot like another missing American girl. I am going to link the WS thread for Christy here if anybody wants to take a look.

I thought the night stand looked similar.

It appears that the original plan was to kidnap Amy while docked in Aruba, kidnap her from C&C, and that plan failed. Since the kidnapping was carried through once docked in Curacao then its possible Amy could be anywhere in the Caribbean?

Caribbean sightings only:
  1. August 1998: Porto Marie, Curacao
  2. January 1999: Otrobanda, Willemstad, Curacao
  3. March 2005: Bridgetown, Barbados

Jaime, I don't really know what was going on with the sailor that night.

So, I've been thinking about this today.

I wonder if he went into the hotel because of the bar. (...) Ships pull up to the Otrobanda streets along the canal, and maybe he went to the bar because of the location.

A drink may have been all that he had time for?

He never said that Amy or the girl she was sitting with were being pimped out. He never said that either of them approached him for sex.

Of all of the witnesses with verified stories, this is the one about which I have the most questions. If the handlers were there, how was it that Amy could say as much as she said to the sailor?

It was reported by Amy's mom that the sailor told Amy there was a Naval boat five minutes away and she could leave. Why would she say, "No, you don't understand. I'm Amy Bradley," instead of making a run for it with him?

I want to be clear -- I'm not doubting Amy's mom whatsoever. My questions are specifically about the witness. Was he able to give a description of the man/men who told Amy to go upstairs? If so, did the sketch match any of the other handler sketches?

How would they be pimping Amy if they didn't want her to talk?

Just thinking out loud here: Is it possible they were selective in who they allowed her to go with? If it was obvious the witness was an American -- especially a member of the military -- I could see them keeping her away.

I have wondered if this old hotel was a cheap and obscure place for Amy and her handlers to stay while they were doing business.

It doesn't sound like it was very obscure if the bar was a big draw?

Maybe it was where Amy lived.

I really do wonder if they burned the place down to rid all evidence of Amy having been there. Maybe it's where the photos were taken. They could have been taken prior to the hotel fire -- then they could have been stolen and the hotel owner panicked and burned the place down. This has been bugging me all day.

Jaime, your post above deserves a double thanks. Exactly what was on my mind...

This is exactly why I asked about organized crime. I've learned so much from the Polaris Project. There is much information out there regarding human trafficking, drugs, gambling and the laundering of the money through Caribbean channels. Several presidents have been put into office via these channels, all proven, just to show you that dirty politicians are just as bad here as they are in other countries...

Thank you very much, MrsKub.

Thank you for that screencap. I'd like to contact somebody tomorrow to fix those pages. I think it's important bc as of now, anyone on an apple mobile device, including an iPad, and several other cells with net capability could bring that up & it would say NULL at the top. Most people now use their cells for the net bc of its convenience. If the majority of people on their cells see NULL on a Missing Person page, they may assume the person is found. So thank gosh it's something small but in all reality it needs to be fixed.
