you can see where it says the author is "K-chu". that's a good clue if we can make something of it. if he's the web designer he might be able to say who had access to upload photos or, if he uploaded all photos, who gave them to him.

I took a look for k-chu and it looks like it could be a surname. Maybe Paul B. traded off some services to get the website up and running.

Are you able to do a Meta dump for the http://a-a-v.com/ website from the Wayback machine?

i doubt it's a joke. that data is something only a web crawler like google or bing would see. it would let them know someone named "K-Chu" was the author of the page. this person would only put that in if they wanted to be associated with the web sites they created.

i've checked eight or nine of the wayback snapshots and that's the only one i can see with that specific metadata. the website was updated a LOT during 2004-2005, mostly changing color schemes and some underlying code, however i am under the belief that the web designer is the same guy throughout that time period because of the way he writes his html, css, and javascript. there are some common conventions in every update even when the update is major.

also, the site is fairly poorly written so i'd think we'd be looking for someone who was just getting into web design at the time. a lot of the javascript is borrowed from elsewhere on the internet.

I didn't mean joke as in added to the data by an idiot playing games, I meant I'm wondering if it's an alias somebody used as a joke to throw people off... Literally just wondering now. I wonder if I can search that name for that time period to see how popular it was. & what country it was most popular in... Worth a shot?

The strange thing is that there are the various things that point to conspiracy such as the missing photos the weird behaviour of the captain and crew their lack of cooperation.

Then there are all the things that don't point to a conspiracy at least at this point, the very tight timeline and they would have no way of knowing Amy would go upstairs at that time even if she had promised to. Yellow all over her the night before the plot is to unfold why?

Would it really be possible to kidnap her from that area at that time?

I wonder why coke OR coffee usually you can differentiate these by the containers used so I am assuming it was a glass. But if a knock-out drug is given in the glass at that moment again they are working with a very very tight timeline and in a public place at what sounds like a busy time unless was alone - normally the drug would take some time to take effect.

I am not saying it is impossible just trying to understand.

(And her parents are looking for her and raising alarms pretty soon thereafter.)

This was addressed by FindAmy in Thread #1. "E" had fallen ill prior to the cruise and was on antibiotics that made it difficult for her to be in the sun. She spent a lot of time in the disco because it kept her out of the sun but still gave her a good vantage point for watching activity on the ship. FA never said others were waiting to disembark in the disco with E. E was in the disco to avoid sunlight until it was time to join the crowd (gathered elsewhere) to disembark.

Again, no one has said that the disco was busy. If you have time to go back and read through past posts, you'll see a few references to a private staff elevator in the disco. It is possible that this private elevator could have been used to transport Amy to a non-public part of the ship.

Good to see you! I've been on this forum for a few weeks and keep checking daily. Was following the Drew Peterson trial so haven't had time to focus on this case since.

The Canadian connection if any is intriguing and I have been trying to do some research. All dead ends, unfortunately.

In my heart, I still think "Y" is the answer to many of our questions. I guess I don't understand why he's able to be so visible and yet untouchable. Frustrating.

Posting of the pics on the web would have been humiliating to Amy. Her captors would tell her everyone thinks she ran away and was nothing more than a prostitute. In the photos, I see a defiant look in her eyes.

I think that may be why the photos were posted, too- to humiliate Amy. But still, why were they up for over a year? Couldn't they just show the website to her, then take it back down? Putting them out there for a long time is just likely to draw more attention to themselves.

also, did anyone check the exif data on the original pictures? it would have to be the actual pictures hosted at the time on one of those sites. a lot of times that data will tell what kind of camera was used, when the picture was taken, etc.

Maybe they weren't taken digitally, but were actual prints that were scanned and then uploaded. Maybe that is why the quality is so poor.
