VA - Amy Bradley - missing from cruise ship, Curacao - 1998 #3

The cruise director needs to be added to “Amy’s Wall of Shame”, in my book. He was particularly cold and callous toward the family whose daughter has gone missing from a ship under his watch, whatever he may believe happened, whether she jumped or fell or otherwise encountered misfortune.

Most egregiously, in the recent NF documentary, he talked Yellow up as a great guy, all-around wonderful human being and employee. He couldn’t have been more complimentary. Except Yellow was, and from his own mouth, routinely did, break the rules of his employment contact by fraternizing with the clients. Oh, and, yeah, he liked to constantly flirt with women while being married. Yeah, he’s a great guy.

Cruise Director and AD are nothing but dirt bags.

Ive followed Amy's case from when she first went missing and thought I knew everything (at least what the public privy to know); and decided maybe she fell overboard. Just didnt know. However, I was surprised to read about what Amy's brother posted yesterday. I hadn't heard about this information before(knew about Amy sightings), but this is so feasible - jmo

The night before Amy disappeared, March 23, 1998, during the pool party before we went to the dance club, Amy was talking to two black women in matching uniforms off to the side for close to an hour. The uniforms were not Royal Caribbean uniforms. They had on navy blue knee length skirts and lighter blue, button-up oxford shirts. Remember that.

My parents walked over to them to let Amy know they were going to bed. When they walked up, the two ladies, who had appeared very friendly during their conversation with Amy, did not speak or introduce themselves when my parents came over.

We do not know who these women were. The FBI says they are aware of who they are, but would never share any information regarding them with us.

The next afternoon, we got off of the ship to stay in a hotel on the canal in case Amy were to be found in the water, which she was not.

Late, on the night of March 24, 1998, we were in the hotel room on Curaçao. We were not in good shape. My mom asked the president of my dad’s company, who had gotten off of the ship with his wife to help us, to please help find a priest who could come pray with us. They were not able to find a priest.

Around midnight, two Scientology officers knocked on our door and introduced themselves as officers from the ship Freewinds. The Freewinds is Scientology’s Sea Org ship, headquartered in Curaçao. They told us that they assist people who are grieving and suffering loss through various methods.

They explained their ways and went on to ask us very specific things about Amy. “Does she smoke? What are her favorite cigarettes? Does she drink? What is her favorite beer? What are her favorite snacks?, etc. this went on for a while and, at the time, we went along, assuming it was a way to process our grief. The interaction, or interview, went on for an hour or so until my dad asked them to leave. They invited us aboard their ship for whatever reason, but we politely declined. I am not claiming I know they were involved, but they left our room having learned a lot of specific details about Amy’s favorite things which, in retrospect, has been suspicious to us ever since.

Over the next couple weeks after returning home to Virginia, I did a lot of research about Scientology, the Freewinds, Sea Org, etc. and found that the uniforms of some of the staff on the Freewinds MATCHED what the two black ladies that Amy was talking to the night before were wearing.

I believe it is possible that those ladies boarded our ship with the group of performers and a large entourage of people that boarded the ship in Aruba that night. I believe it is possible that they were Sea Org recruiters that coerced/convinced Amy to meet them in the morning for a tour of the Freewinds. I believe it is possible that she agreed, she went, and then was not able to get back off of their ship.

The Freewinds was docked adjacent to the Rhapsody of the Seas (our ship) on Curaçao that day, a couple hundred feet away.

If you have ever done any research about this organization, you will hear of people being held against their will, forced worked duty, isolation, and so on. The Freewinds goes back and forth between Curaçao, Aruba, and Barbados.
Amy was reportedly sighted in all of these places.

There is a shopping center bathroom sighting in Bridgetown, Barbados highlighted in the series. The Freewinds docks in Bridgetown when it goes to Barbados. Amy was reportedly seen in San Francisco, CA at Pier 39 (which was not discussed in the docuseries) and there’s a Church of Scientology 2 miles from that sighting.

One of the first sightings was at Porto Marie Beach on Curaçao. As I mentioned earlier, the Freewinds/Sea Org is headquartered in Curaçao.I realize that this theory is contrary to some of the predominate theories and sightings, but it has haunted me for 27 years and we have never been able to get any news organization, media outlets, or the FBI to pay any attention to it.

Wow. Just Wow. I am now convinced something is not "right" with this family. Sorry, if that offends anyone. 27 years after this young lady's tragic disappearance her brother now throws a Scientology connection; with the obligatory black suspects into the mix.
Anyone that has seriously delved down the Scientology "rabbit hole" understands the non-possibility of 2 uniformed female black Scientologist being present on this ship. It's ludicrous.

Read my post. It's not accepted as an "exact science". Forensic photograph analysis in this case is nothing more than a glorified exercise in using the Bertillon identification measuring system. Hence, the FBI agent's verbiage " I [we?] believe".

Sadly, there were aspects of Amy's disappearance that reminded me of the lady called Merrian Carver who vanished from a cruise ship in 2004.

I was thinking about the item of clothing and a pair of shoes left behind and this was the case for both ladies.

It has always puzzled me as to why Amy would have left her room so early in the morning.

There were and had been sightings of Amy on the ship, in Merrian's case I think it was a room attendant who discovered her bed had not been slept in. Though Merrian was travelling alone and the cruise was to Alaska.

I do think Brad's post is feasible but unfortunately due to the room being cleaned and Amy's belongings removed it is impossible to prove anything.

In Amy's case my own personal view and it's just an opinion there are two possibilities. Either Amy was smuggled possibly out of a staff entrance/exit to somewhere/with someone and somehow could not return. Or sadly she fell overboard and at that time nobody saw or heard her. In the documentary her father had certainly woken up and I think something had bothered him.

I very much feel for Amy's family.

From my perspective, the eyes of the woman in the photo do not look the same as Amy's eyes. Amy's lower eyelid seem to have an almost straight line from inside point to outside point. The woman in the photo has more curve in her lower eyelid. The shape of the eye does not change over time, and they do not look the same to me.

I do understand that Amy's family wants to believe that she is alive, and that the only way they can accept that is that she is a drug-using 50 year old prostitute on some Island that no one has met in 27 years. Alternatively, she is a slave living with Black women on a Scientology boat. Is there any scenario presented by the family that is not so grim?

Speaking as a parent, I think any scenario trying to explain why your daughter has unexpectedly gone missing while on a family vacation is going to be grim. There is no good or hopeful reason that she is missing.

I had a college friend that was lured in to Scientology. It was very difficult for her family to find her and get her help. She was in the US so it was easier. I’m wondering what would have happened if she had been in a foreign country? I’m not surprised at all that they would not have had people on cruise ships back then! I also thought it may have been girls from the ship’s spa?

If she was my family I'd rather believe she'd gone overboard due to some 'misadventure' while drunk than think she'd been forced into prostitution for 27 years.

Way too many pieces of information from the website and Amy’s life was cut from the documentary. It can get confusing between what’s been included and excluded as a poster stated above.
