Everything I've found says that he died in 1998 and they were still together when he died.
Her NAMUS page says "fingerprints are available elsewhere," so I don't think she can be Alice Crimmins, or anyone else with a record in the US. Unless they just haven't run her prints for a comparison. (I don't remember if there's a national fingerprint database, or if it's state-by-state.) Alice Crimmins is pretty notorious, though, so you'd think they might have checked her prints against AC's.
I have never, ever heard the statement of 'fingerprints are available elsewhere'. Just what does this mean and where are they available? I'm sure the coroner or ME took the fingerprints at the morgue, so why not just state that fingerprints are available?
Thank you very much, carbuff. IMO, the prints should be stored in the system I would think.
No, I do not think that is curious. Remember that this unknown was only 5' tall. She would want clothing that would fit her. For instance, J (sis-in-law) was only 5'2" tall and very often put together an outfit with pieces from the same store. I've been shopping with her. She donated clothing.
Our unknown could not wear clothing or at least pants belonging to a person who wore average height clothing. Or tall. Sure, she could find a matching outfit of the same brand from the Goodwill Store if numerous pieces of clothing were donated at the same time. Not curious at all, IMO.
ETA: If our unknown usually wore high end clothing, then what I do find curious is that her panties were ordinary Fruit of the Loom and her bra had no markings at all. Those two items are not high end, IMO.
Uhhh, I don't seem to recall that little Minnie Mouse backpack...thing. What *is* that? At first glance I thought it was thong underwear! :blushing:
Is it like a little change purse? It looks well-worn, with the safety pin and the tape. Was there anything inside it?
LOL I THOUGHT IT WAS A THONG TOO!!! :floorlaugh:
We will have to agree to disagree because I still think that finding a full outfit in one high end brand at a thrift shop is highly unlikely. Most people give away pieces that they no longer wear, not full outfits. I guess your sister in law was an exception.
Actually, you pointing out her height makes me think the chances of her finding pants in a thrift store even more unlikely. I'm 5'9, I know finding tall length pants is a nightmare in a regular store. My 5'2 Mom has the same problem, only short length.
I can see the outfit coming from a nice consignment store.
I'm a Victorias Secret girl so I can't relate to fruit of the loom panties. I'm pretty sure my grandmas aren't wearing fancy panties and bras though. I wouldn't be surprised if they wore fruit of the loom or something similar.

Wait -- why are we doubting her outfit? LOL... I'm so confused.. I, unfortunately, don't think her outfit would be of any clue or help to us -- or at least the place of purchase. It's not like those department, consignment or thrift stores keep video for very long.. (but, there is a thrift store down the road -- it's a Goodwill I think, maybe ~1.5 miles from the cemetery). I tried tracing the REI back pack to the store in the area and even spoke with a guy who worked there / STILL works there, and he was like "nope, sorry, too old."
And I'll vouch for the Fruit of the Loom panties. They're comfortable as heck -- I wear a size 6 but my pant size is size 12... when I wear/buy VS, it's always large. I'm 30 if it matters.
J. was married to a prominent lawyer in the Annandale/Fairfax area and he owned quite a lot of real estate there.
I work for an attorney in FFX -- does J's husband still practice?
