If she was 25 in that photo, she looked much older than her age. I think she looks like a great possibility!

No, that's true. Connie's personality seems like such a strong match.

Wow there is quite a long list of rule outs on her! I haven't looked at this one in a while!

Shirley Sprang is not on the list but Shirley has DNA in NAMUS and our lady here says "Status: Samples submitted - Tests not complete" - So hopefully that will get finished up soon.

I think the resemblance is striking for Marilyn.

I went back quite a few pages to try to find something on Connie Converse as I've saw her name come up but didn't find anything other than a couple of references about her being a possible match. I did a google search - are you guys talking about the singer that disappeared after telling her family she was leaving to start a new life somewhere else? What is it about her that you are thinking makes a good match for this UID (I didn't see a resemblance in any of the old pics I saw, but there weren't many)...sorry if I'm asking you to rehash something that's already been discussed but you have me intrigued too! If you know what pages on this thread it was discussed, I'd be happy to go back and re-read but I swear I can't find it!

The anominity (spelling?) and the whole "I don't want to be bother, here's 50 bucks for my burial" type thing draws me to Connie because she didn't want to be a bother to her family. Maybe she was sick and didn't want to burden hence the DNR.

It was a little farther back than you probably went -- the discussion starts at post #581. Astridxxx found some strong connections between Converse and the possessions our lady had with her.

(O/T: the single thing that annoys me most about the new forum is that you can no longer link to a specific post in a thread. It will only link to the PAGE the post is displayed on -- and if the reader and the poster don't have the same page size set, it won't even get the right page. That's why no link.)

No problem, I think I can find it now - thanks! I'd started at the beginning and went forward, then started at the end and went back - it looks like it was smack in the middle where I didn't look. thanks again!

Wow - the Connie Converse idea was a great one...did we ever hear back if she was officially ruled out?

  • #1,291
Not that I know of.

I believe they're still waiting for both our lady's DNA and Connie Converse's DNA to be processed to make an official ruleout.

As much as I like the personality match, I think too many physical details don't line up.

I found a set of lyrics that Connie C typed. Is there just the one picture of Christmas Tree Lady's note? It is too blurry to see if it is even possible that they were typed on the same typewriter.

18 years ago today she was found deceased. Christmas Tree Lady, Annandale Jane Doe... you'll never be forgotten.

Thank you for the reminder astridxx.

Our Dearest Christmas Tree Lady, we pray we can give you back your name. We send you love and prayers; may you rest in eternal peace surrounded by many many fragrent roses from angels.

I went to the cemetery today. It was rainy and miserable weather, but a very peaceful place. The building by which she had died was much closer to the entrance than I thought. I've lived in the area my whole life and have never been in there... Can't get this one out of my head...

You're right, my bad, it was Aeronomy who brought Connie Converse to our attention. I just misread the name. Apologies to both of you.

Merry Christmas, happy holidays, and all the rest to you, too.

My thank you icon does not seem to be working for the past couple of days so I say thank you to all that is responding. I really appreciate it!

I am catching up here today.

My nickname was Tina when I was young because I was small. My oldest brother still calls me that sometimes and I am certainly not small anymore!

Search For Tina, I really hope and pray that you find her!

Happy Holidays!
