Did anyone else see ML on the Channel 10 news? She wants to make me puke every time I see her. She's only concerned with her a$$...tears...save 'em for when you're locked up and getting the crap beat out of you. On tv couldn't even hold her head up without the assistance of her hand and rolling her eyes around in her head...give me a break...

ML made her bed and now she needs to stay in it...

I'm thinking that ML works at the school's day-care/after-care program. Ours has before-care for the afternoon 1/2 day kindergarteners in the morning and after-care for the 1/2 day morning kindergartners. Then all of the other kids that go to after-care (1st-5th graders) are there, as needed by the parents, until 6pm.

You know if they come up with the funds to hire this attorney, they will likely lose whatever public assistance they have for the kids.

Thank GOD none of us donated directly when grandma was asking for all new stuff for the kids, because no one could get back into the home. Though some idiot will, just like they do for Casey Anthony.

Yeah, it's not clear what her job was at the school. It would be interesting to know if she volunteered to work the after school program that day...

I know we talked of donating something somewhere in his memory, but I truly wanted to wait to see how this played out, and if ML would be charged. I'm glad I procrastinated on this...

I think if we do anything, it should be to see if CHiP or a similar organization would set up a fund for donations, rather than anything that could possibly end up in the hands of that family (and then paying for ML's defense...).

Could be, but we know the 4 year old was 'tied up' on the second floor when mom found her husband 'unconscious' and the house ransacked. So the 4 year old, if enrolled in preschool, had to get home to be 'tied up' somehow. How did she get home if she was at school that day? Did mom drive her home earlier- when preschool let out 40-45 minutes before the older grades let out and then go back to work the after care? -or- did she happen to stay home from school that day so mom and step dad could use her as part of their abduction scam?

TV just said that BL had been appointed an attorney but that ML's family was trying to raise funds - no lawyers name mentioned that I heard.

Well, it could go either way. Assuming the child was in preschool, they may have wanted her out of the way (and unable to give any statements to the police) while they prepared the 'scene of the crime'. Then again, even they aren't so stupid to believe the police wouldn't talk to the 4 year old. Which is why I truly believe they did have her tied up.

As far as whether she was in preschool, it is free and geared toward "at risk" kids. Any can go, I suppose, but I see where you have to apply and they choose based on that criteria. I can see them wanting her in school, because it would be one less child for that lazy to keep up with during the day. I can also see him wanting the girl at home, being an age where he could use her to watch and entertain the other kids. So I'm kinda torn on this.

And I would want to know why that wasn't a condition of him being returned to those monsters (for example, monthly weigh-ins).

I think he was. Remember there was the trial period where CPS/the state still had 'legal' custody while Morgan had 'physical' custody for a few months. During that 'home trial' it was decided by the judge that Aveion would be placed in the full physical and legal custody of his mother. So it appears Morgan complied long enough to satisfy the courts requirements to regain both physical and legal custody and then was right back to her old ways.

If anything, as was said waaay back, CPS changes MUST come about as a result of this case. NO child should be removed as close to death as Aveion was at 8 lbs, only to be dead 4 months after his mother regained both physical and legal custody. NOT EVER and NO CHILD should ever be placed back in 'hell' again, only to suffer like Aveion did.

The charges against ML and BL are only PART of the story. Remember there is still an ongoing CPS investigation of somekind. Early the director of CPS made some comments denying her agencies part in this.... I'll have to find the old post and link it here.

So there wouldn't have been any follow up or monitoring past September?

Note the date of passing reads January 27th. I did read that correct right?
Even though Brandon Lockett admitted the child was deceased long before January 27th. It's not for me to say, but considering Brandon admitted the child was deceased when the 9-11 call was made I think I would have not chosen the date he was found, but rather the more accurate date BL admitted too.

I would expect a date such as above for an elderly person who lived alone and was likely deceased for some time before being found. But not for a small child, who admittedly was known to have been deceased sometime prior to January 27th when the alleged perpetrator admitted to his being deceased. If I couldn't do much more, I would at least be honest. I would want the world to know, somehow, someway I acknowledged the truth......

Yes, I think I would have gone with the January 14th date, but that is just my opinion.
