We do not know the facts of the case. That remains the bottom line. And again if it does turn out that he murdered them, for whatever reason, I personally do not believe it is our place to judge him, there are any number of reasons why a person might snap and do what Sam allegedly did and I am quite certain that each and every one of us has what it takes to do the same given the right situation and circumstances.

In any case Sam is a human being and I get no real pleasure in the suffering of others even those who may seemingly deserve it most. Forgiveness is not easy, forgiving those who least deserve it is even harder but I am certain that learning to do so is the only true way to peace and happiness and freedom from that which otherwise consumes and destroys you.

Pax, you and I do NOT agree with the DP,,however, what you said about the "forgiving issue is so right on...IMHO truer words haVE never been spoken...Keeping hate etc,,bottled up inside will destroy...

Back in the mid 70"s with both babies in tow, my hubby and I struck out for a nice quiet Sunday afternoon drive in the country...We ( from Richmond,Va) ended up in the countryside of Farmville....In the light of day, we came to a what we thought was a festival of sorts, sooooo,,,we pulled over,,,,as there was so much traffic on this country road,,the (state police, I think) were directing traffic.....We asked what was going on and was told it was a clan meeting......I didn't realize immediately just what a clan meeting was, until I saw men on a platform in white robes and hoods.......My hubby couldn't get out of there fast enough.......Having been born here and lived my entire life here,,,I have never experienced being that close to that group of people......It was very scarry, and we never went in that direction again ....for our Sunday drives....

I hate to bore you all with more ceramics.... :)

but I think you can say someone makes a bad decision, that he or she regrets, and that is a mistake. At least in common parlance.

Ceramics?! :P

Sadly enough that was probably very common in a lot of towns in the 70's :(

When I was 5, around 1965 (don't do the math), my old babysitter and her husband took me to a cross-burning on land near our town. I only have a flash of memory, of course. This was in the Ohio-WVA area.

I'm surprised about the 70s, but I guess that's because it is further south.

Even in hippy dippy Berkeley California as recently as the late seventies there was a lot of racial tension and racial issues. Certainly when compared with today. The guy that led the integration of the Berkeley schools was from Farmville BTW. I can't remember his name right now....

Just correcting myself here...His name was Neil Sullivan and he was involved in the Brown vs. BoE case not from Farmville. See http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2005/08/11/BAG4AE648B1.DTL

Just wondering what area of Farmville.

No, I was suggesting that maybe you think peace is retarded like her cousin.

Sorry for the R word Taup; are you the mother of the group???
Neither of my twin cousins are "retarted", they may have some other issues but being retarted" is not one of them.
As for me, my brain is so full of toxins, I wonder sometimes why it still functions. Call me slow, stupid, etc. but I am not retarted.

Well I just read that whole syko sam forum and that was a task. I think they are all about 12 over there except for Mary. Nothing wrong with that but I was considering joining and not sure its for me.

This just in:
"Farmville Murder Suspect Seeks Psychologist"

http://www.nbc12.com/Global/story.asp?S=11800328
Dang ! That was a skimpy article ( but thanks for the post ).

I guess the attorney is just posturing and doing what he has to do.

You'll never convince me ( or any jurist ) that Sam is crazy.

If you or I snap and kill someone tomorrow , we might be able to go with some type of insanity or mental health defect issues. But Sam with his horrorcore , wont be able to pull it off.

For illustration , suppose I come up with a type rap called

"BANKROBBACORE" in which I and perhaps some others , rap about robbing banks , atm tipping , and clipping all manner of financial institutions.

Might be on youtube and have my own website.

Flashforward to a bank robbery in my home town. Suppose four blocks away I get stopped from said bank just after the deed goes down , with ink dye on my clothes and a curiously empty money sack.

Question : Am I guilty ?
Answer : Of course !

Now I can have an attorney argue all kinds of things. But between my rappin' and the ink dye , you know all you need to know.

...I still don't see what the bank robbing rap would have to do with it.
There's people everywhere singing about stuff they would never actually do.
for example there's 1000000000 of singers out there singing about love and having great relationships, does that prove they actually do?

And especially if you say "Alan Greenspan told me to do it."

I see your point.

But Sam was different. He really meant it.

I know in other posts people have suggested that liz is just saying those comments about Casey Anthony for shock value. Unfortunately , I think she is quite sincere.

Her and Sam are two peas in a pod.
