Thirty-five-year-old Gary Michael McDaniel was last seen around 2 p.m. Sunday near the Woodbrook subdivision.

Madison County Sheriff asking for help to find missing man

A massive search effort was called off Thursday morning when updated information came to light.

While walking door to door on Thursday, authorities learned McDaniel may have gotten a ride late Sunday afternoon. Now, sheriff's deputies are trying to locate the driver and the small black truck, but they have little more to go on.


"We were doing our house to house search and two individual adults and a child come forward claiming that he was picked up. They saw him and provided a description of his clothing and now we're just looking for that pickup truck trying to identify who that is and where this person is located,” said Sheriff Erik Weaver.
