First of all - sooooo glad you are safe - you are truly one of a very few miracle survivors!

But do you think if the police are looking for a missing girl and they have put out "wanted" posters and you see someone that looks like the photo you should not look at them or alert the police? I am thankful that citizens were on the lookout for him!! I do not view that as hysteria AT ALL...... jmho.

There are innocent people convicted every single day in our lovely country. I want to see the evidence before I make an opinion about what the police have or do not have. C-ville is on edge and Longo is in the hot seat due to the number of missing girls from the area in a relatively short period of time. That is hysteria. I am sorry. I respectfully disagree. I like crimes solved in truth not on b.s. and then we find out years later the whole thing was botched and nasty people still on the loose.

I agree that's most likely the case. But If he turned himself in he would be arrested. Can't image that part of the story would be left out though.

When I lived in Houston no one I knew considered Galveston an island-- it was just some place nearby that you got in your car and drove to. You don't have to load your car on a ferry or anything.

This has been my theory all along and I think she is still alive and hoping no one is giving her up for dead. Investigators should check every truck stop and backpage and other internet sites for escort services. A lot of these rings are not run by super intelligent organized criminals but street thugs. They may be on drugs or just think they won't get caught. If she is hidden in a hotel room, maybe they aren't smart enough to worry about someone turning them in. It's all a long shot but its happened before.

What if Hannah was drugged when with JM and he took her with the plan to traffick her. She may be out of his hands into a traffick ring. This could explain the reward money offered and Longo asking people to remember Hannahs face.

My sister is working on a ministry that will be a safe house for trafficked women here in the northeast. It is rampant.

Perhaps they found texts between JM and a trafficker.

Any thoughts on this.

Yes, I don't really see him in the "gang" crowd. Will be interesting (sadly) to see how thus turns out. Sincerely I hope that if he did this, that he is also the one responsible for MH and the world gets a heck of a lot safer. At the expense of some (many?) young girls.

Wow. Just wow. I'm in South Texas, about 3 hours south of Galveston. Bolivar is such a random, obscure, tiny community, not to mention hard to get to. It blows my mind how and why he ended up there. He would definitely stick out in Bolivar but not in Galveston, and especially not in Houston, which is just an hour away from there.

Galveston has a unique history for you history buffs.....they literally raised the city many, many moons ago to prevent flood damage.

Take it from someone who has crossed over the border to Mexico quite a few times. He would most likely NOT need his passport going into Mexico. He would need it coming back. I say this because the Mexican Border Patrol very rarely checks passports. They waive you in

I know we did not require a passport crossing into Mexico on land from the U.S.

LE has his DNA. If he was linked to MH, trust me, he would have been charged as soon as they got that DNA back.

We could speculate for days/hours/years on his mental state...

I think the bigger questions would be: where was he headed? Did he have anyone with him (mom?)? Where is his sisters car? Was he staying with someone?

Well, you know how it is - some of us focus on analyzing certain aspects of a case (eg. behavior, state of mind), while other people, such as yourself - prefer to develop other aspects of the case. It's all good, don't you think?

I have tried my best to catch up with this case since the start of this past weekend, but at the rate it is moving, I will never get every post read, so I will just jump in here. This is entirely a gut feeling on my part, but with JM now in custody and soon to be extradited, I would not be shocked if he gives up the location of Hannah in relatively short order, and attempts to negotiate a plea to a lesser charge than 1st degree murder, if she is dead (and I fear that she is). The fact that he was found so far from home clearly shows that he was running as fast as he could to get away. Despite his various run-ins with the law, he has led what appears to be a relatively comfortable life, and apparently has never experienced prison life that so many career felons are constantly in and out of. I think it wont take a lot of interrogation to get him to admit that he accidentally "hurt" her and then fled because he was scared. I may be completely wrong, and his attorney may very well advise him against such, dependent on how strong the evidence may be against him, but I certainly hope that if he is guilty, he will do the right thing and tell LE where she can be found. JMO

Good post. I see JM as being somewhat immature for his age. His Grandma cooks for him so he probably grew up loved. He named his dog Popcorn for goodness sake. I pray that there is a morsel of "something" in him that will lead us to Hannah. Not excusing his behavior or "alleged " (see that political correctness crimes. He can help us find Hannah. I like to think that he will.
