I realize LE is permitted to distort the truth in a case, but this time I think there really is a bald guy with a goatee. I do not think the dreadlocks guy is involved in this at all. Further, it could well be that HG was in the orange car, and even in the apartment, but that doesn't mean she met her demise there. POI could have dropped her off somewhere and somebody else got hold of her.

Sadly, probably someone in custody telling a story.

A scenario in my head is Hannah willingly going back to the apartment for whatever reason(it doesnt matter)
Something went horribly wrong, leaving people with a choice to make about what to do. That choice probably included the river.

Well for her family and friends I personally would not want to hear people talk about a body, until they find one.

That's what I think, too. There are lots of places in the outdoors to search, so the fact that the river got prioritized suggests to me that someone told them something.
