Why would she be "casually" acquainted with a really creepy guy? Was she normally attracted to 270 pound, 6'2" unemployed black men? It's three weeks into the semester. Where would she have met him?
Oh, and creepy? He's only creepy now because he's a POI. He may not look particularly creepy under normal circumstances.

I can't get over that last text and what the significance is. It's even possible dread guy dropped her back off at Wertland and 14th since it's close to her apartment but also very close to where the other assaults happened that night.

I think DG wants LE to think he dropped her off around 14th and Wertland.

Actually it happened slightly different than that - I don't mean to split hairs, but it may be significant. On Friday morning, while at the Hessian Hills apartments, Chief Longo was asked about the search of the suspect's vehicle by a reporter. I have to paraphrase Longo's reply because I don't have it in front of me, but it was roughly this: "The vehicle has been removed from the scene but has not yet been searched. While on-scene to remove this vehicle, probable cause developed which allowed us to seek a search warrant for the apartment." So it is possible that LE saw evidence inside the vehicle, outside the vehicle, or elsewhere at the premises (there was a dumpster close by) but at this time we don't know.

If searching the vehicle resulted in a search warrant for the residence, isn't it most likely that there was something in the car that led to the belief that Hannah was in the apartment, and therefore the search warrant for the row-house.

I guess I'm just trying to give her friends the benefit of the doubt -- that they didn't know she was in trouble.

She was lost...after one in the morning. That is in trouble, as far as I am concerned. Not trying to blame her friends, just hate that no matter what young people are told, taught, raised to be, they just don't seem to see friendship the way it is meant to be, Imo. All so casual and at-the-moment, out of sight, out of mind? Maybe she will turn up, maybe she won't? I went to college too, a tiny school in a tiny town, but we stuck together and things seemed much safer then.

Just frustrated...from past cases of this age group, friends will be tweeting away about what they eating, wearing etc within a few weeks. I guess it is good to be so resilient... I don't know.

She doesn't look like a drug abuser. Is there a link to support the claim that she had any association with drugs, (modsnip)?
(modsnip) I am speculating like everyone else. How does a drug user look? Some drug abusers wear a suit and tie.

If I understand the rules correctly, you can link the account. Thank you so much!
I thought so too but I hadn't seen it linked yet and that made me think perhaps I was misunderstanding the rules about social media accounts.
Apologies to the mods in advance if this is against the ToS.

Yep, that bothers me, too. Let's hope that his roomies/buddies get talkative -- if they saw or at least suspected something; and heck, let's hope that the search turned up blood and/or DNA belonging to HG (if she is deceased).

And let's hope that Longo inspired some folks to talk about what they know, saw, or heard. Hannah needs help, and her family needs answers and an end to this nightmare.

Amen. I hope his friends know something and are greedy (so they are motivated by the reward money).

Thanks so much. I didn't realize that those weren't her apartment, either. Are the two pictures simultaneous -- one from a camera that caught her front and the other from a camera that caught her back? Or is one entering and one leaving? I would have assumed they were simultaneous except the doorway in the left matches up so perfectly in both images that it looks to me like the same camera pointing in the same direction. I wonder how long she stayed and what time she got there and what time she left. Did MSM get the departure time wrong, in addition to the location? It has always bothered me that the last sighting was so much earlier than the first time she appears on camera and that there was so much time between the last time she is seen by her friends and the time she appears on the mall. For someone moving so quickly, she sure covered a small amount of ground.

I just looked at my clock and it's 1:08. A week since the last time she was captured on camera.

I believe so. These images are from 9:33PM Friday after she'd had dinner and was presumably heading to the first party. She appears to be alone. She arrives at the next destination about 2.5 hours later, at about 11:50PM Fri. Both photos are from 9:33PM, so arriving.

The last sighting is at Tempo, between 1:08AM Sat and 1:20AM Sat - when she said that she was lost. She is seen throughout the evening, including at 1:00AM, 1:06AM, and 1:08AM. Her last contact is at 1:20AM a mile away from where she thinks she is.

Hannah does not look like a girl that would befriend a 270 pound 6'2" unemployed dreadhead after a couple of weeks at university. It seems like an oxymoron to believe that she was friends with the man that most likely murdered her.

Oh yes. If this is the same man that attacked a woman near the tennis courts, and murdered Morgan Harrington, then this man intentionally harms people.
If this man approached a drunk 18 year old, seduced her with more alcohol, and invited her into his car, he intentionally harmed her.
I don't think this man is connected to Morgan Harrington, although I wish he was... the physical description is way off. 6'2" 270 is not medium build as the suspect in MH's murder was described.
We have no idea yet what happened, and I'm entertaining all possibilities.

At the risk of sounding like Chief Longo, I can't answer that. I can only repeat that the chief said that the suspect's vehicle had not yet been searched when probable cause was developed that allowed them to seek a search warrant for the apartment.

update: here is a link to Longo addressing reporters outside the apartments. You can jump to about 02:22 to hear the reporter's question and the Chief's reply.

Snippppy?

I don't think so.

You seem to have a problem with my thinking. You are nieve to think that because she looks a certain way she could not have been looking to buy drugs or befriend a stranger.

"Hundreds of volunteers have signed up for a massive search today. Asked if he believed the 18-year-old Graham was still alive, Longo said he was “hopeful.”

He said police believe Graham might have left the area with the man in his burnt orange 1998 Chrysler coupe.

“If you remember seeing that vehicle and seeing it drive away, we need to hear from you,” Longo said at a news conference.

He also urged anyone who might have seen the two at The Tempo, a bar and restaurant, to call police".

Exactly right.

One thing became clear today at the press conference BG is a player. He knows the game. The chief seemed really poed and I think it was because BG didn't say anything.
They had a search warrant and searched. But I bet you,he wasn't talking.Maybe even a smart 🤬🤬🤬 to them.Just my general feeling,I hope they have evidence ,because this one won't be talking.Sure this is not his first run in with the law.

The vehicle was not searched. It was towed away to be searched/processed for evidence, which I might add, should have us all on pins & needles for results! Something in (possibly just from visual inspection through the window) or around the vehicle was located that enabled them to get a warrant for the apartment. I honestly doubt he was driving around for a week with any of her clothing or something obvious right in plain view. I would not doubt that they only needed to find something that would put him back at the scene of Tempo or even just the mall in general, and they could get the warrant for the apartment. I could be wrong though. Lord knows it wouldn't be the first time.

Locals on social media are saying dreadlocks guy sits around at the mall for hours writing in a notebook.

So, I'm back to my theory that he's one of the "local eccentrics" that we all have. In the news conference LE said something to the effect of "a lot of ppl know this man."

I think DG wants LE to think he dropped her off around 14th and Wertland.

14th and Wertland is the location of the last text message ... at 1:20AM. Hannah was apparently with the large black man at that time, because we know that they were at Tempo after 1:08AM, and she got in the car with him after he purchased alcohol for take-out at Tempo ... and about 15 minutes passed.

Screwy timeline.

12 minutes after she was seen near Tempo, she was texting that she was lost a mile away from 14th and Wertland, but apparently in the meantime she spent up to 15 minutes near Tempo with the suspect, then willingly got into his car.
