If you read through of the threads he was actually featured in a local news article and photographed with a cab. It was something about the slogans or motto he likes his cab to say. Also, I think they spelled his name Mathew in the article. If you find the right picture (the one of him with a cab) you can just do a reverse image search to find the article. I noticed a news reporter also was tweeting about Mathew. I then asked if it was Mathew or Matthew, and I don't believe anybody replied. He might use an alias, Matthew, or Mathew is his alias. Idk. Just guessing.

Jmo this was a one person crime, seemingly/possibly committed by JM. No ring, no gang, no posse, etc
It is textbook to me of a casual pick-up that probably ended up as a sexual assault and murder. Whether he has done it before, I am not so sure. He certainly isn't very good at keeping a low profile as far as the night of this crime, the stand-out car, being seen everywhere, etc.
And now he is on the run, apparently.

Just get him situated behind bars on whatever charges are possible at this point and concentrate on evidence and searching. Forget about him "chatting" with LE. That ship has sailed.

There was a picture with him and his cab and they interviewed the current owner of Yellow cab. He confirmed his employment.

Sketching suspects isnt an exact science. A lot of it is dependent on the artists interpretation of the information given by the witness.

IMO they look eerily similar

Even with it not being an exact science, I disagree. The other thing that struck me is that his face has always carried more weight in it. Even in the pic where he is a bit thinner overall JM's face is rounder then the sketches.

That sketch is one they tried to age progress, IIRC. the original was younger looking then they age progressed it to "estimate" what he may look like now. That estimation could be inaccurate. JMO.

Matthew was charged with a felony for attempted grand larceny, misdemeanor assault, and trespassing.

I don't the area. I know in my area, court veterans get 4-5 continuances until a witness doesn't show up, and they abuse the system this way repeatedly.

I saw all kinds of continuances in his record. I don't know if it's the same thing, or not. He's no stranger to court rooms though.

I don't really see anyone posting saying they are sure he didn't hurt Hannah or that he isn't involved. Many people have commented on the fact that to date no evidence has been released that makes him guilty, hence they aren't yet prepared to say he is guilty of hurting her and disappearing her. Can you point to a post that backs up your claims that people are saying they are sure he hasn't hurt Hannah and that he isn't involved? I have read every post and haven't seen anyone say that (except the trolling ghost who was obviously being sarcastic).

I never claimed anyone said that they were "sure" he wasn't guilty. I said people are saying "what if he isn't guilty?" I'm asking, and maybe I phrased it clumsily, what it is that makes them doubt his involvement? Because I don't know if he is guilty or innocent but I can see exactly why LE are after him. People have talked about him suing police if he's innocent. If he's guilty though they have played it right.

It's been a while, and I don't pretend to have been an expert follower, but did follow the MH case quite a bit. The Sketch was made based on the original NoVa victim's description, but if age-progressed, would have been what the Suspect looked like with MH. Not long ago. JM would have been younger. Anyway, like I said, imo, the two guys don't look alike. Any more than 2 same-height same-weight males of the same race would if you cut their facial hair the same way (which is a common style). Identifying features are not the same.

As for my continued theory, I think something bad happened to HG after Tempo and JM was with her (maybe he'd been participatory- supplying more alcohol or maybe drugs) and he freaked out, and got rid of evidence, etc. I do think another or others are involved in some way.

Anyway, before people start jumping at me for stating something they don't like, this is all clearly just my opinion- seems strange we always need to state that obvious though!

Ashley Banfield interviewed Chief Longo at noon and he said they found out the forensics won't be ready until tomorrow afternoon. He was disappointed, as expected.

Maybe he meant that it wouldn't be ready to "share with the public" until tomorrow afternoon. Maybe LE already has the report and that is what prompted the 2nd search of the apartment?
