This is no offense to Christine Banfield and Joe Ryan who tragically lost their lives over evil greed but for some reason the trial lacks captivating my attention.
I've had it on and off on my TV...trying.
There's a flat monotone that has been running throughout it and it may be both the prosecution and defense attorney's deliveries.

This also went on with the prosecution's star witness against BB....the other murderer.
Maybe it's the defense attorney Mr. Nice Guy who lost the fire in his belly?

I think the reason it's not riveting is because there's really only one witness able to tell the story.

You have all these logs from the website that don't really mean anything unless JM is giving the narrative because it was done on Christine's laptop when she was home. Without JM, there's no way to prove it wasn't Christine.

It's like when you go to a seminar and the same person is talking for 5 hours. It gets boring listening to the same person. Panel discussions are more interesting.

The date on the bathtub photo post is December 30, 2022. She says she has been madly in love since July (assuming July 2022). On the stand she said their relationship turned sexual in August.

Believe it or not, there is ANOTHER bathtub photo that Juliana posted to her Instagram in December 2022 (before the murders). I don't think this one was taken in NY, but possibly in the family home, which is so disgusting. I would really like to know if CB had any suspicions about them having an affair. I have been following this case for a while, but have never heard any information on that.

While I wait for the trial to resume today, I'm just so struck that he killed his marriage over a cliché.

Two real, live people dead so he could have a fleeting fantasy.

Caused such deep suffering over such shallow thinking.

This sounds just like Season 1 Episode 6 of "the Closer"! I started watching this series on Netflix this month. Is this where Banfield got the idea to pull this on his wife to get rid of her????? I just heard of this trial from Tricia's YouTube videos.
