The attorneys, who say they havent had contact with Miller since last September and dont know where she is, previously asked to withdraw as her lawyers but were denied.
The appeal centers on whether there were adequate grounds to strip Miller of her parental rights in the first place.
Her attorneys say there werent.

Jennifer Levi, an attorney with Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders who represents Jenkins, says the appeal is an attempt to have the court revisit legal questions that have already been decided. Under the circumstances, its especially wrong, she said.
It doesnt make sense for a lawyer unable to communicate with a client to pursue very important issues at the appellate level, Levi said.
Wow is this case confusing! It was my understanding no parental rights were stripped, but the primary custodial parent was changed. I can see them eventually being stripped - but it was my understanding they were not stripped at the Jan 1 court hearing.
I was also unaware Millers attorneys tried to withdraw as her representation but were denied. Interesting.
What a mess! I hope Janet is reunified with her daughter.
