New - (2::02) guy was 6 ft tall, dark skinned.
wearing a light colored t-shirt. Temperature was above normal that day, (according to accuweather 64/57) but only a t-shirt? Even JM is seen leaving the house with a coat.

Well, for one, could have been a long-sleeve t-shirt. Second, even in the interview with the boy, the kid is wearing a short sleeve t shirt while the reporter is wearing a coat.

They have a "person of interest." The usual cloak of secrecy prevails with not much being divulged by PD to the public. If it turns out that the POI is not "IT", they will continue to search for a suspect. He doesn't know why Jholie was not found in the park when it was searched the first time. He can't reveal when exactly he believes that she was killed. I missed the opening, so I don't know who this spokesman is. I assume he is the Chief, or a lead investigator. There are no captions on screen to identify him. He's fielding questions from the reporters and explaining why he can't answer most of them.

Seems like the officer said there is a report going around about a young boy who let someone use his phone to call Jholie. I can't remember his exact words but it seems like he was saying that might not be a fact. Did anyone else hear that?

Thanks, Gussified. I didn't think they had the POI in custody, but I did tune in late. So, am I correct that they do have him in custody, but it is on a charge unrelated to Jhoulie's case at this time. However, he IS also considered a POI in Jholie's case.

I understood him to say that the info about the boy did not come from LE, and that he will not disclose anything that could jeopardize the investigation. Did not get the impression that it may not be fact, just that LE is not going to confirm or deny.

Well, I came in late too, but yes, my understanding is that they do have the 17yo POI in custody, on an unrelated charge, but he is a POI in Jholie’s case.

And he did say ‘he’, so it is male. And he did not get into details about the prior assault charge, so for all we know it could have been an assault on Jholie. I did get the impression that they discovered the assault during the murder investigation. He said the assault happened before Jholie went missing, they found out about the assault during the investigation, and they arrested him on the assault charge on Jan 18th. He has not been charged in the murder.
