At this point, I doubt he'd donate any money owed/pledged to the ACLU. I could be wrong. I'm praying the Judge will rule against their $86,000 claim against JD for preparing for the trial. IMHO
Those expenses occurred trying to defend himself from them and her. When you take the word of a liar instead of checking for facts and make them ambassador there are consequences. Money should be the least of their concern right now. What has this done to their reputation?

does anyone think she will make some kind of First Amendment appeal? Or will she go away to raise her daughter?
APPEAL, imo. Probably as fast as she can, and defiantly.

True, but at the time, Depp was feeling a tsunami of backlash against him from Amber's false accusations. He was blindsided.

Waldman knew that it would take an extreme statement from them to get any attention to try and fight back somehow. It was risky bit I think it was worth it in the end.
I have to admit I wasn’t even following the case back then and didn’t have a good understanding of the dynamics and what all was going on. Thank you for your input in helping me to see the situation more clearly @katydid23 .

What's the bet she doesn't destroy her own house.

Celebrities whom The Daily Beast confirmed “liked” Depp’s statement on social media include LaKeith Stanfield, Zoe Saldana, Emma Roberts, Gemma Chan, Bella Hadid, Taika Waititi, Jennifer Aniston, Henry Golding, Joey King, Riley Keough, and Jason Momoa, who stars alongside Heard in the Aquaman films.

Oddly enough, Momoa double-tapped Amber Heard’s Instagram statement as well.
For those that don't use Instagram, is a double-tap the same as a like?

HLN coming on now discussing the verdict.

I’m watching Morgan and I’m also waiting for HLN to get to the story so my post may sound rambling…like Elaine:oops:

Just thinking of this one thing:
We were all wondering how she was going to explain the charity donation. I was prepared for an excuse with a statement ‘saying‘ she would eventually pay it. I don’t think anyone was prepared for the crazy ‘pledge-donation’ spin!!! And she was emphatic about it for a good 5 minutes, never backing down! I’m sure some of the jurors felt like they were hearing and seeing things. Im looking forward to hearing their thoughts some time in the future.

I shutter to think about what AH is going to do. She is scary and unstable.
“Pledge & Appeal “ will become part of her circular talk I imagine. AND It’s all Johnnys fault of course.

does anyone know if AH had anything to do with the ACLU before this? Could she have just as easily donated to ... I don't know- a cancer cause or an art museum or an education fund and become a spokes person for them?

there are a few actual bruise pictures-arm and eye and the video of JD with the cabinets and her racks of clothing all knocked down and the messages written in blood on the mirror and walls in AUS. It seems that what was found not believable was AH's own narrative testimony IMO.
If she had just stuck with very simple, basic stories---like he 'got drunk and slapped her', showing the picture with the faint marks on her face----and another time he 'shoved her against the wall, and squeezed her arm really hard when she tried to leave', showing the bruise on her arm---DONE.
He probably would have been found Guilty of abuse because how could he fight something 'believable' like that?

And, the ACLU continues with their ridiculous ambassador! Hmmm... on second thought, the ACLU should just make her their "new" all-encompassing representative which we now realize are a group of subversive, lying fakes. The ACLU and AH are perfect for each other.

Maybe. She was so over the top with just falsehoods. Anyone that owns a vagina would definitely know if they have glass in them. Don't sit. Don't sneeze. Get help.

Did you see how she looked at each juror as they were polled?

2 things
-Liars over explain
-I think AMber & Elaine thought the UK win
meant this case would be a cake walk.

She was given a big dose of seroquel ASAP by Dr. Kipper and flown out of the country with a big guy ASAP, so I would not have been surprized if she was hazy on the details, but you all have pointed out how frequently she testified to the minutest of details.

She was given her normal dose of seroquel (25 mg?) the nurse tried to give her 50 and the doctor said he would be fine with 100 .. but that didn't happen and she was flown back to LA the next morning IIRC ..

Listening to various news broadcast, it’s amazing how off they are on facts. I’m hearing that some people are shocked that AH lost on all counts with the exception of the one.

There is discussion as to what was so convincing for the jury. My thoughts are you’d have to hear/see it to believe why it
was. For those who were not there I can see ‘this case’ being grouped in with Me Too, as opposed to what really happened here.

I wonder if Disney is out looking for those million alpacas right now?

Amber Heard's net worth today.
from $9m yesterday to - $8m today.

No wonder she looked glum.

Is that including the $7mil pledge/donation she still has in her pocket?

If she's accepting child support from EM no probs she'll make that in a week.
