I did a search on what Kate Moss has been up to…and layered into all her decades of Vogue covers, her work with Dior…her candid interviews about her modeling career …
Amber was prob so friggin jealous of Kate Moss. Kate looking all beautiful & timeless even though she
was “around in the 90s”
Yes, you could feel the pettiness the way AH described Kate as 'coming out of the woodwork'....

Definition

The phrase to come out of the woodwork is an idiomatic expression that means to emerge suddenly and unexpectedly

The idiom comes from the idea of insects crawling out from inside the woodwork where they have been hiding.

Imo, AH owes the debt. Whether JD wants the money or not, he can donate as you suggest. Regardless, AH should have to carry that burden on her shoulders, for at least six years, just like JD had to carry around the burden of her false accusations of abuse for six years.
How about a monthly payment plan. Jmo

she must learn the lesson that this cannot happen to anyone else.

She MUST bear the consequences otherwise, mark my words, this evil will destroy someone else.

She had several different prescriptions and she was mixing them with alcohol every day. 1 - 2 bottles a day, reportedly. In the tapes she also talks about taking Xanax and Ambien. That's not including weed, cocaine, MDMA and mushrooms that are mentioned in nurses notes etc. Basically I wouldn't be surprised if her mixing drugs with alcohol contributed to her aggressive/abusive behaviors. I would even speculate she was more likely the one who often 'changed' when she was heavily intoxicated.
Other than the "recreational drugs", none of those meds were mentioned in the trial, were they?
Is that due to HIPAA perhaps? Seriously, those combinations certainly would contribute to her over the top behavior...both physically and mentally.

How Amber Heard’s painfully personal op-ed led to Johnny Depp’s court win

Four years after writing about “facing our culture’s wrath” as an alleged assault victim, Amber Heard is paying a huge cost for her candid op-ed.

Amber Heard defamed Johnny Depp in her 2018 Washington Post op-ed, a Virginia jury determined today

That jury did an amazing job considering they didn’t have ALL the extensive outside information we all had.
They rock!

Judge Penney Azcarate is a Circuit Court Judge in Fairfax County, Virginia and a 1998 Scalia Law graduate with a long history of public service. After enrolling in the ROTC program at Old Dominion University, Judge Azcarate served four years active duty with the United States Marine Corps and several more in the reserves while attending law school. After graduating from George Mason, she became an assistant Commonwealth Attorney for five years before entering private practice. In 2008, Judge Azcarate was elected by the General Assembly to serve on the General District Court Bench where she became the first female Chief Judge. In 2015, Judge Azcarate was elevated to the Fairfax County Circuit Court.

During her tenure on the bench, Judge Azcarate spearheaded the initiative to create the first Veterans Treatment Docket in the Commonwealth of Virginia, a specialty court designed to treat Veterans suffering from mental health and substance abuse issues. During her tenure in General District Court, Judge Azcarate began to see a pattern of Veterans coming before her on criminal charges with no prior criminal history. She recognized the need to provide the resources necessary for Veterans to transition back to civilian life and receive treatment for various mental health and substance abuse issues that are often a result of the stress of their military service and a contributing factor to their subsequent criminal charges. The VTD serves Veterans who have committed non-violent misdemeanor and felony offenses, facilitating treatment and mentorship programs, as well as providing other resources designed to reintegrate them into the community. Today, Fairfax County has established a Veterans Treatment Docket in each of its three courts, General District, Juvenile and Domestic Relations and Circuit Court.

Her "candid" op-ed? She insisted under oath it was not about Johhny. It was what happened after, once she moved on and got a TRO, she claimed. (So it was about Johnny.)

Even after the verdict, she told the media she was heartbroken that the "mountain of evidence" was not enough to stand up to the powerful influence of her ex-husband.

Will she face consequences for lying to a court of law? She lied about sexual assault and domestic violence, she lied about the op-ed, which was clearly about JD. She admitted it herself both on the stand and after the verdict.

The reason she is facing "our cultures wrath" is because she lied! She tried to hurt JD and destroy his reputation out of spite. She almost succeeded.

Will she be charged with perjury?

As per the article:

Heard's spokesperson Alafair Hall told The New York Times she now plans to appeal the jury's verdict, though it is not clear on what grounds she seeks to do so.

To be granted an appeal, Heard would likely need to demonstrate that there were errors in the trial, or in the presiding judge's reading of the law.

Heard would also need to post bond of the full $10,350,000, plus interest charges over the course of an appeal trial.

so, who‘s up for a sequel, lol?

(also, wheres that sweating head emoji when you need it?!?)

also from same source, I found this to be both accurate and fair:

John Witherspoon, a Virginia lawyer, said: 'It was very fair. I was glad to see Depp prevail as I thought evidence supported his side of the case. I feel bad for Amber, I feel her lawyers did the best job they could. I'm sure Amber is bitterly disappointed and not able to understand what happened. Her mindset was she was in the right all along and that was revealed on the stand. I'm sorry the case has been a platform for a lot of venom and vitriol. I wish her the best. One of the positive things to come out of the case is a larger national conversation about these issues.'

“Not for 300 million dollars and thousands of alpacas”
(Im paraphrasing)

Dior is selling their cologne in record speed, they reported sales every 6 seconds since the trial began.
Dior has made a super smart bargain, they paid him less than $20M for original deal (I saw every 3 seconds at one point).

at I believe $160/bottle, that’s some serious change.

I also imagine part of the reason he spoke so confidently on Disney being happy to continue reeling in their cut of Jack Sparrow merchandise, is because his agent negotiated a cut of merchandise sales to him as well.

The merchandise cut wasn’t affected?

She recently posted that?!? It’s aloof and conniving, like game playing.

She posted it for the UK trial on her Instagram with both photos. It's still there. Then yesterday she wore the same dress again,no commentary this time.

It makes me think that Elaine took the case because it was a high profile one. I understand that for exposure purposes, to reach for an upper echelon client base. I’m pretty convinced now that she had no idea what she was dealing with. She most likely looked at AH previous 2 cases. When meeting her in person she must have felt a level of comfort for AH appearing smart, a business woman and an accomplished actress. ‘What do I have to lose‘ sort of outlook for Elaine.

Instead she was met with an unstable colossal liar and narcissist. She was in over her head and it showed. Her “15 minutes“ showed her lack of pop culture awareness. And of all people she pulled that on the TMZ guy, Morgan and I don’t recall the other.

I think that’s why she began to get more frazzled with each passing day. She certainly didn’t know what she was up against and I imagine her going home after a full day with brain fog. She was probably thinking ‘who in their right mind lies like this and who doesn’t have evidence in a trial of this caliber’??

Last week she had to know they were in big trouble and that explains why she poured out everything she could think off in a frantic pace. That wasn’t a good look.

I'm a bit late today due to the time difference, but didn't EB represent her in the UK?. I thought she did.

did they really mean for no monetary awards? i got the impression that they just forgot to write in the numbers.s..

We also don't know that it was JD forms that they didnt put an award. It seems more likely to me that it was that one count for AH that they didn't fill in a monetary award.

Elaine on the Today show coming up in a few minutes.

ETA - "Jury demonized AH" "Had mountains of evidence that wasn't allowed in" "He lost in UK trial" Demonize is her favorite word. I'm turning the channel...MSM, especially Guthrie is ALWAYS one sided.

He could ask for it to be given to a charity of his choice?

He could, and I think maybe if it was just her he wouldn't think twice but the fact that she has a child to support and very little job prospects may make him reconsider. But then again, maybe not. Maybe he suspects what the rest of us do and he knows financial hardship won't be a problem for the little one,in which case all bets could be off.

Thanks to everyone for the good company and comments!

Will be interesting to see what happens with the pledged donations and whether there will be any legal repercussions, potential perjury in UK court, breach of promise etc. I bet JD foresaw the situation when he attempted to make payments directly.
His attempt to pay directly was a strategic master fencing stroke, showing that he knows her and knows she has no intention of paying, lol.

the best part about it was, with the exception of her $350,000… he was right!

at the time I remember thinking, ‘I bet his accountant derived a great deal of pleasure from writing that cover letter and check, haha.’
Whaaa? What mountain of evidence?! Was she even at the same trial?!

Her response is bordering on defamatory. She better be tread lightly.
As previously stated, Vinnie P. really did not like her first paragraph… He said it was treading ‘dangerously close’ to the language from the just-slapped op Ed…
It's not as easy to discern what is opinion and fact in online media. I don't know the year of the study referenced below below but I'd guess newspaper subscribers numbers have dropped even more since then.

The study, titled Americans and the News Media: What they do — and don’t — understand about each other, found that 75% of the general public said it was “very” or “somewhat” easy to distinguish news articles from opinion pieces in the news outlet they rely on most often. But only 43% said they could easily tell the difference on Twitter or Facebook.

Those who subscribe to a newspaper seem more knowledgeable than nonsubscribers: The study reported that 70% of subscribers to local papers said they could easily tell the difference between news and opinion, while fewer than half (49%) of nonsubscribers said they were able to do so.

CNN does this in particular online and it‘s SO sus, IMO… all they’re counting on, is a large proportion of people simply reading the headlines, and assuming all this specious scurrilously termed junk is in fact factual, instead of someone‘s opinion… personally if it’s their opinion/an editorial, I’d only give 5 percent more credence to a Chris Cilizza than I would, like, to Kelly Ripa… reporting on the basis of something someone else has written, doesn’t make you an expert.

"The question is if she says, 'Look, I don't have it. It's not there — you can look in my bank accounts,' then we can talk about things like garnishing her wages," said CBS News legal contributor Jessica Levinson.

Heard also has the option of filing for bankruptcy, which would eliminate the $10 million in compensatory damages, Spurgeon said. But she'd still be on the hook for the $350,000 in punitive damages, which generally can't be discharged in a bankruptcy.

Depp could also decide not to execute the judgment, in effect waiving the monetary damages, Spurgeon said.
… be pretty poetic if he asked for all that in discovery, got it, exposed it and then said ‘nevermind’, wouldn’t it?
The merchandise cut wasn’t affected?
…do you know, he didn’t say…. It probably was, his main point was IMO, Disney is happy to still sell the stuff, take the profits, and didn’t discontinue it.

I was mostly trying to point out that he was masterfully and deservedly compensated on his contracts; and also that he’s lucky he IS the commodity. He doesn’t need money or anything tangible to make money… just his incredibly fertile brain, lol.

She was given her normal dose of seroquel (25 mg?) the nurse tried to give her 50 and the doctor said he would be fine with 100 .. but that didn't happen and she was flown back to LA the next morning IIRC ..

With Ben King, who I personally would not describe as a "big guy" either.
