Really? ETA: I suppose it's possible. As I've said before... we never know what jurors are thinking.
No way. Also high how? What drug? That's a lot of speculation, but it also doesn't mean he's not telling the truth. MOO

Johnny Depp: 'I did get here and I did tell the truth'

What has it been like to listen to Amber Heard's testimony, Johnny Depp is now being asked.

There's a long pause before he replies: "Insane."

He continues: "It's insane to hear heinous accusations of violence, sexual violence, that she's attributed to me, that she's accused me of. I don't think anyone enjoys having to split themselves open and tell the truth, but there are times when one just simply has to because it's gotten out of control."

He pauses again before saying: "Horrible. Ridiculous. Humiliating. Ludicrous. Painful. Savage. Unimaginably brutal, cruel, and all… false. All false.

"I wanted… No human being is perfect, certainly not, none of us, but I have never in my life committed sexual battery, physical abuse, all these outlandish, outrageous stories of me committing these things, and living with it for six years and waiting to be able to bring the truth out.

"So this is not easy for any of us, I know that. But no matter what happens, I did get here, and I did tell the truth, and I have spoken up for what I've been carrying on my back, reluctantly, for six years."

Depp's lawyer Camille Vasquez says she has no further questions.

JD’s last few words brought tears to my eyes … his feelings were very honest and powerful
I maybe had a little something in my eye :(

I think it was the judge saying that to the jury??? Who knows it was weird.
What?????

Who told Johnny not to break anything on his way out?????????????
JD bumped his mic by accident while standing for the jury. I think the Judge said it to JD jokingly and not the jury. JD and Judge were grinning at each other.

agree, he is not Jack Sparrow, he is Johnny. In press and in person he is very measured in his speech, he weighs every word. That has been his manner for as long as I can recall. He is much more reserved than the larger than life characters he has created.
This is my first time hearing him speak ever. I appreciate you and others who have explained this is who he is and how he speaks. I respect that JD takes time before answering and answers slowly due to thinking process. I am quite reserved and others who are impatient for a quick reply can be very hard. MOO.

Sounds like Morgam Tremaine “wants” to testify, not forced to

Okay, cause I was like....WTH....???? Especially after the Australia testimony. lol

I just rewound my feed and just as JD was standing up something clanged somewhere in the courtroom like it had been knocked off

I tend to think that the judge shouldn't allow the testimony, but I am dying to hear it.

Ooh Zing to TMZ! Not Edward R Murrow indeed.

Oh waa waa Elaine...."not offered during discovery". Maybe your client should have told you that she sold, or had one of her followers sell, the video. All in my opinion of course.

I thought he did wonderfully well setting the scene with the help of that photograph of the bar area.

I also felt it was wholly consistent with the body language inherent in the tale he told his first time on the stand.

Yeah, I wasn't looking. I was back here on my laptop and so I wrote that comment exactly when I heard it. Thanks for the description. I was like, what the heck -- because we know johnny somehow manages to break stuff! That is one inescapable fact of this trial.

'I miss it': Depp on his severed finger tip

Depp is then asked about Dr David Kipper, who treated his finger.

"When you saw the damage in the house and the blood everywhere... there would be no point in lying to the man... I told him that she had thrown a bottle of vodka... and cut my finger off. The tip of my finger, but a good chunk. I miss it."
Apart from anything else, as a guitar player he will be affected by the missing fingertip.

Charles Tobin, a lawyer representing US entertainment publication TMZ, is addressing the judge. Morgan Tremaine, a former employee of TMZ, is expected to give evidence later today.

Mr Tobin says he is intervening to protect the relationship between reporters and their sources.

TMZ is seeking an order preventing Mr Tremaine from testifying regarding a confidential source
regarding an exclusive story published in August 2016, headlined: "Johnny Depp goes off on Amber... smashes wine glass, bottle."

TMZ's emergency motion to intervene on this was submitted to the court yesterday.

Mr Tobin tells Judge Azcarate he knows this is an "unusual situation", to which she laughs and replies: "This is not the first unusual situation in this case, I can tell you."

Making her ruling, the judge says she is allowing the former TMZ employee to testify.
