^ No. And it's depressing that his long-documented chronic addiction issues are still being downplayed at this very late stage of the game. It does him no favours and it does the awful damage caused by chronic addiction no favours either. Addiction is a disease and it's such a very bleak one and no one wins with denial, neither the addict not those who excuse it and/or try to minimise it. Depp is suffering from a disease that he's in denial about because he has no control over it.and even that seems to be based on AH's account. I believe the only thing JD admitted was his addiction to pain meds (was it Roxi something?) .. he did not believe he had any other addictions and had never been treated for any others? Not that he didn't drink and smoke mary jane (is that still a word?) lol I'm showing my age. I know he drank and done some drugs like half of hollywood .. but I do think AH tried to make it look way worse then what it was.
I just wonder how much time is left for the defense. I didn't hear them say an exact amount of time this morning like they said they'd tell us.I feel JD will do just fine at cross. The jury is now accustomed to his slow, measured, think heavy speech mannerism. I think he comes across as less rehearsed and less overly dramatic, in sharp contrast to Ms. Heard on the stand. I think the jury will follow JD and find him to be genuine in what he is saying. I believe attempts at cross to vilify him will fall as flat as I think they did during his initial appearance on the stand.
And we all know how that fingertip is so important to him...Apart from anything else, as a guitar player he will be affected by the missing fingertip.
Moo
I also like her. She's kept control without being the center of attention. It's a pretty admirable characteristic that she can do this without making it a cult of personality thing. IMO.The judge was sympathetic to Mr. Depp's discomfiture and opted for a moment of levity. I like this judge and the way she manages her courtroom.
Betting her version of events on the plane sound a lot more based in reality than AH's testimony which was later parroted by Dr. Hughes as proof of AH's victimhood. I can't wait to hear this presumably normal person's take on how that flight went.![]()

Mega pintsWe may as well have our drinks handy for all the objections and sidebars during this testimony![]()
I wonder why the witness wants to speak?
I was wondering if this was the Boston plane incident or the plane to Russia incident. Okay. Sounds like the Boston plane.Betting her version of events on the plane sound a lot more based in reality than AH's testimony which was later parroted by Dr. Hughes as proof of AH's victimhood. This poor judge. Think she is ready for this trial to be over.
Well buckle up for the after lunch session. I am looking forward to hearing MT about the TMZ stuff. I think JD will handle cross ok, I should imagine he’s emotionally totally drained though.
I think he exhibits an authentic human being with real emotions, and I was definitely thinking the same thing as you “less rehearsed”. He doesn’t appear to look at the jury for approval either, I do believe these words were coming straight from his heart, and this whole experience has been and still is very painful for him. I think his occasional little humorous digs are just his way of dealing with this. All my non-professional opinion …I feel JD will do just fine at cross. The jury is now accustomed to his slow, measured, think heavy speech mannerism. I think he comes across as less rehearsed and less overly dramatic, in sharp contrast to Ms. Heard on the stand. ^ No. In his very own words -
