It is a very sad case (both Banfield and Peres Magalhaes appear horrible people. My personal opinion and I understand the need to strike a deal with Peres Magalhaes, and stick to the deal).

However, “sorry, folks, Fairfax County Prosecutor fell off the wagon and trials are delayed now” sounds almost comic.

Wishing the prosecutor to make his January a dry month!

And may Christine Banfield and Joseph Ryan get full justice! It is a very mean case.

Chief Judge Azcarate is best known for presiding over the defamation case brought by actor Johnny Depp against his ex-wife, Amber Heard.

This is a good article about Chief Judge Penney S. Azcarate. She graduated from Old Dominion University (in Virginia) in 1988. She served in the Gulf War as a Marine in 1991-1992. She graduated from George Mason University School of Law (now renamed after Supreme Court Justice Scalia) in Fairfax, Virginia.

Why is it that you can never understand what is being said in a 911 call? Just like so much CCTV footage where the images are fuzzy. Juliana Peres Magalhaes will be deported after she is sentenced (for time served), as part of her "deal". She has lost her opportunity to make a life here in the U.S.
