Looking for any indications from BB that he could be testifing?
Not that I have a clue what demeanors of his would change.
If he does testify could it be today?
imo

No telling how long the Defense can draw this witness out. I might have to set my calendar.

If it appears that Carroll is deliberately just dragging out his direct can the judge stop him or tell him to speed things up?

A first for me.
I just heard Carroll apologize to the judge then he had to ask his expert something at the bench.
Maybe he was reprimanded during the side-bar to speed up?

Defense is up to a slow start. If they've got a point, it's being lost on delivery.

Pretty sure, if I was in the courtroom, It's be doing a crossword puzzle.

Just like it's not always possible to say who was operating a device, who's to say JM and BB didn't park their phones elsewhere in order to alibi themselves while one or both of them was manipulating CB's device at home?

Why would BB enlist another person unless he needed another person? I think he needed another person in order to move phones around to make it look like he wasn't where he was.

I hope the CW knocks this testimony into the bin with a few brief questions.

One media commentator made an observation and boy do I agree. On face value this should be a very interesting trial and in fact it is one of the most boring I have ever watched. Hard to pay attention and just waiting for BB on the stand.

IIRC:
A juror ( #1?) from the Karen Read trial said that the jurors largely disregarded all the conflicting testimonies from the experts regarding the collision and focused on other evidence.
Stay tuned.

I sure wish we could hear from CB. IMO someone trying to frame his wife for setting up an illicit rendezvous would have reason to be clever with her devices. It's not like he couldn't check her email, visit websites in her search history.

A message sent from the suspect Anastasia account on Fetlife on 13th Feb 7.38am (just shown in court live stream)

"I'm looking forward to meet you ... pinning down and all these stuff"

They are now showing that Brendan's car was not in the vicinity of the home at this time, but IMO this was not written by a native English speaker.

get a kick out of the Court TV thumbnail above....did any of these characters ever look like that? As I look at BB in courtroom I am amazed that one let alone two women were interested in him.

Days with this witness to show that at least BB's phone wasn't at home... when JM was. Sheesh. They were working in lockstop. He was probably on  another phone with JM talking JM through the setting up of the fetlife account and conversations.

He should have said JM did all this, without his knowledge. Evidence doesn't support it but it's at least more credible than whatever this mess of a defense is.

Both sides lack passion in their deliveries and the CW's direct questioning of JM plus their opening statement were presented as somehow this woman isn't responsible for the death of 2 innocent people even though she planned and executed the murders.

Had the au-pair not been a witness for the CW she would have been chewed-up and spit out by the CW as the cold-hearted murderer she is and responsible for the deaths of 2 innocent people and leaving a little girl motherless.

I don't get this.
The defense's forensic expert who is still on the stand is sitting in the gallery as Carroll was cross-examining the au-pair.
When I was a witness in a criminal trial I wan't permitted in the courtroom until after I had testified.
We always see witnesses being escorted into the courtroom to testify and asked by the judge if they had listened to prior testimonies in the trial.

Why was he there?

JM's direct and cross

2:06:35 sitting right behind John Carroll.

I hope the CW levels this testimony.

We all know BB went to work. There were times he and/or his phone weren't at home.

He had an accomplice.

IMO JM was a trusted member of the household (or CB wouldn't have entrusted her with her children), she world knows CB's habits as much as anybody. That she wanted to be Mrs. B, not withstanding.

Two people who had all the motivation in the world to make it look like CB was behind the account and the encounter while simultaneously creating distance from themselves.

All

The telegram messages lay it out and are available on the court website. It was knife play he said was not an interest.
I agree JR stated in his texts that he was not interested in knife play. Not sure what the definition of "knife play" is, but JR did bring a knife to the scene as requested.

I don't think that applies unilaterally to expert witnesses.

FWIW I picture BB playing earnest games of Tic Tac Toe on the notepad in front of him.

I thought defense would pick it up today but this as slow as molasses still. What is he doing??

I see, it allows them to respond to other's testimonies with their own opinions.
I now get the difference, thanks!
