VA - Joseph Ryan shot, Christine Banfield stabbed, both deceased, in home - Herndon 24 Feb 2023

Christine was on all fours, according to BB, but supposedly already stabbed multiple times. She also told BB Joseph had a knife while supposedly already stabbed.
Christine was stabbed multiple times, some on her neck being almost gouges. Stabbed on both sides of her neck and in the chest.

No way is the jury buying this.

So sorry that Christine’s parents are in the courtroom listening to this BS

So JR is approached by a man with a badge and gun and then he stabs (puts forward motion with the knife) CB? Sure.

So much dialogue.

BB says he told BB to leave. Then he asked to leave. BB told him he was could to be arrested.

More downward movements with the knife.

None of this is credible.

So a husband/father/officer lets all this happen in front of him? Doesn't yell, doesn't tackle, doesn't pull CB out of the way, but watched the stabbing before shooting?

I don't think a knife would've stopped him if this were real.

Terrible script.

So no screaming to JM to get out of the house and call 911.
Okay.

Say wha?

So he shoots Joe (BB used his badge!), moves the knife away...

Admits he didn't help his wife "at that point".

Deliberation should be quick.

Oh, and he "never touched Joe"
Well that settles that, eh?

CB rolled over on her own, onto her back.

Right.

And this is a practiced script/testimony to boot.

I wonder when he yelled "Police!" if aupair thought he meant she should call 911 and that's why she called too soon??

  • #1,055
CB told him to put his hand over hers on her neck. Then she took her hands out and put it back on top of his hand, indicating he should put more pressure on.

Seriously?

With the injuries she had?

This testimony is beyond offensive.

THAT would be karma. But I doubt any of it happened.

Seems like an aupair would run to the child, get away from the violence herself and be with the little one for her safety and well being. If I were on the jury, that's what I would be thinking.

OMG!
He told JM to call 911 and "watch him" (JR)
Police work at its finest.

I hope the State brings in a rebuttal witness -- I don't think CB was doing ANY talking. Those were devastating injuries.
