Just relistened--

He said another half hour and I think started to say 35.... trailed off.

So 30-35 more minutes -- we'll see if he holds to that.

I won't be holding my breath.

OMG he said he has another half hour!!!

LOL he said BB was athletic??

But not that athletic.

FWIW I could never be a defense attorney.

Another HOUR?

God help us all.

I think now we see the beauty of the CW's approach. Keep it brief. Trust the jury.

While there were important points left to be made, she wins for being logical, succint, and DONE.

JMO
Convoluted story told in the most boring way possible vs. the simple truth.

Thank God The Plan blew up.

BB really thought he'd come out the hero.

Shot the man who was stabbing his wife.

That he penned himself into his own fabricated story as the hero speaks volumes.

Speaks volumes too that he didn't see how dumb the storyline was.

If the jury can't bring itself to believe either JM or BB, they can believe SSA T.Patrick. There was no work meeting. If there was no meeting, McDonald's falls apart. And it all collapses.

He did not slam a cup of coffee during break and that was a mistake.

Maybe those downward motions were BB forcing JR's hand.

It's truly horrifying to imagine what BB orchestrated that day.

Steady Mr. Smith in his business suit provided factual, reliable, believable testimony. And it was short!

But the world knows he, at one point, bedded a hot young chick. I think he gets satifaction from letting the world know that.

No, but I slammed my hand in a drawer as a happy alternative to this closing argument.

Proving how little insight he has.

He knows nothing about character, decency, fidelity.

Not kink shaming, but no mother would arrange this fantasy with a first-time stranger in her family home on such a tight timeline. No effing way. I don't think the jury will buy that, let alone all the other holes in the story.

Like I said, I bet her toothbrush was dry. She was asleep. That's how BB could take her phone.

His entire plot is cliché.

Christine and Joseph's memories are defiled by this man - so depraved to do that.

He's gone too far. He can defend his client without trashing the victims in his closing argument. There is no evidence to support it or he would have presented it.

Apology accepted. You did go on too long. The jury will get over it.

I'm cooking and had her closing on in the background and may have missed it.
Did Sands address Smith's testimony and there was NO meeting that morning?

Planting the truth?

How does one plant the truth?

I hope the jury sees JR as a person and unjustified murder victim. His actions are likely distasteful to at least some of the jurors, but he also was participating in what he thought was consensual activity. He did not go to that house hiding or intending a crime. His fetish was used by BB to benefit BB.

I think, BB thought, in vanity, that people would automatically cast dispersion on JR and easily accept JR as a depraved wrongdoer in a family home. "Of course someone like that would stab a woman when confronted by her husband."

Justice for all.

jmo
He tried to cast the same aspersions on CB imho. Jmoo.

Bosses of BB were not even in VA that day. No meeting.

"When they lie and manipulate to get someone to make a statement that's not discovering the truth that's planting the truth".
