There's a deputy on the other side of the door too, so they will cuff him outside the door.

In my trial there were 2 deputies outside the front doors, 2 inside the front doors and one deputy inside and outside every other door in the courtroom.

Then there are deputies stationed in the hallway behind the courtroom every few feet.

He's been victimized in many ways. I don't understand his preferences but that does not matter. I definitely am sympathic for the horrible way he's been treated before, during, and after his murder.
