I'm so glad the jury could see the truth despite the generally poor performance of the CW. I was worried for a while.

I'm am curious if any jurors will let us know how the deliberations went.

If they don't want to talk, that's understandable and acceptable. But I am curious what piece(s) of evidence spoke the loudest to them.

Court TV commentators called it puppy dog look. He really was shocked.
Yes I agree he was probably thinking "What!? All of my careful planning and setup didn't fool them? How can that be?"

Ineffective assistance of counsel appeal incoming....

His lawyer was definitely a drag but the state was equally as bad. If the state was firing on all cylinders, I may feel like he got a bad deal as far as fair trials go. But the state prosecutors are too busy getting drunk and this case was tried by their adminstrative assistant so....😂

Go ahead and try. Mr. Smith will be willing to return to the stand, I'm sure.

I agree that defense counsel was bad, but in all fairness, he had very little to work with. I mean, when your client mentions a work meeting and then the state immediately produces a witness that completely discredits him, all credibility is gone at that point, if he had any to begin with.

I’d like to hear about what they thought of Juliana’s testimony….and did Brendan’s testimony just blow them away with all his lies

I hope these journalists ask Descano why the state has been so lenient with Juliana. I'm at the surgical, we didn't want to put the jury to sleep part. Behind on the feed.

Did he just say he wanted Juliana to come in and give flavor to what happened in the room????

Yep, that’s what I heard

So many of his details are utterly nonsensical if he were genuinely innocent.

Brendan, I'm bleeding out... call 911... in about 15 minutes...

Didn't happen. So why say it? You say it when it's part of a story you're selling and you think it makes your story more believable.

Well, it was a hoarse voice....

There was just too much story in his story.

He’s doing damage control right now. The things he is saying point to what some people are thinking.

The CA spun it as "we wanted to try the case with surgigal precision so as not to confuse the jury.....". Ouch, if I was on the jury, I'd be a little offended by that statement!

Jenna Sands on Juliana's leniency - I wouldn't describe it as a sweetheart deal. She faces 10 years. it's a reflection of her cooperation. In order to get her to tell the truth there had to be something. It will never account for the lives she was responsible for taking. The judge is free to sentence her as she chooses within the statutory limits.

Descano jumped in there quickly to defend Juliana's deal. He said she is still facing upto 10 years in prison. I thought she was supposed to get time served? Aren't they going to argue for that at sentencing for her? This is bs.

"Surgical precision" is not the phrase I would use to describe how the case was presented.

Watching the Deputy standing next to Brandan, he was watching him and kept looking at his hands. He wasn't taking his eyes off of him during the reading.
I was hoping they would handle it like they did in SC and put handcuffs on him right there in court. And like in Florida, finger print him as he heads out the door! From that moment on he’s a convicted criminal.

She shot a human being and should not basically receive a free pass IMO.

I don’t like it when the jurors talk afterwards. I’m always concerned something they say will get twisted or misinterpreted. OMO. I am curious but hope they won’t discuss, at least for several months.
