So, they know he abducted her... why no Amber Alert?

Maybe she got in the car willingly.

This is not good. Is there any more information?

I thought regardless of a minor going willingly or not its an amber alert, even though I see how it could get out of control since the majority of teen runaways could fall into this category.

For an Amber Alert, the child must be at risk of serious injury or death. In this case, if it's an online romance, and she went willingly (but due to her age it's being ruled an abduction) and he has no previous history of sexual assault or harm, it might not meet that criteria.

In one of the links, it says that she had been meeting him after school a couple of days this week. Possibly that’s why no AMBER alert.
