Found Deceased VA - Morgan Dana Harrington, 20, Charlottesville, 17 Oct 2009 - #11

What happened with this thread is normal and happens from time to time. It is no big deal. I don't know about this case but information does get pulled and threads shut down intirely at the request of LE. To me the investigation is more important than us being inconvenienced for a bit.

This case and many other's ,we read about take us to places, I wish, we didn't know existed. shaking my head ..such a waste of lives...the victim and the perp.

It may be wishful thinking on my part at this point but I can't help feel that this location is going to narrow down the pool of suspects considerably thus make LE's job infinitely easier. I've been expecting an arrest any time now.

I don't think she was placed there out in the open field. Wouldn't a perp want to hide the body? Why would they go to all that trouble of carrying her body out there and leaving it in the open? Not bury it there? I think she was running from someone and was already been fatally wounded. Or they went walking out there and something happened. I just don't see someone leaving a body in an open field with all the cover available.

I have read her brother went to school there. Maybe, she did get a ride and got dropped off near the rental house at that farm. She may have been to parties there before and may have even known one of the tenants. From what I have read the rental is on the opposite side of the farm, that would make it closer to 29. Does anyone actually know where the rental is?

Your question has been one of endless debate these past three months. Many feel she was never at the JPJ arena, some think she was on the grounds but never inside and other believe LE has been purposely withholding information and video footage that shows her at the JPJ. It looks as if door number three is the winner here. Despite LE making statements early on that they had reviewed video footage from the night of the concert and found none of it to be useful, they never did state she wasn’t seen on it. Today, for the first time a major news outlet, ABC News, released the story below confirming for the first time through the use of video she was there that night and tried to get back in to the JPJ once she found herself outside. I believe we will start to see more of this type of information being released slowly over the next week or two by LE. I think we will find that they have known much more about things regarding this case these past few months than anyone thought they did.

The last sentence in this article is;

Imo, this sentence was the reason for the whole article.

I’m a Hook reporter covering this story. There’s a smoking area inside JPJ; the official story has always been that she told her friends she was going to the bathroom. And there has never been any information about Morgan being seen on surveillance at JPJ or anywhere else. twice now Dr. Harrington has said he cannot answer questions regarding Morgan's bank card being used or not.

(i believe it's under 'The Harrington family' thread. he was asked a serious of questions and answered yes, no, i dont know etc to all of them but that last question- stating he cannot answer that question.

so i can only assume the card was used at this BB&T bank.
i've never seen a missing case where video footage of the victim was not released. this is very odd to me. 3 months of someone missing is a long time for LE to keep saying they have no video footage & no suspects. I worry that the town wants this case to go away. ahh but then along comes Mr. Bass.

about the farm: i've noticed that Chopin Rd seems to be very close to where Morgan was found. I have a feeling that was the route taken to put Morgan at that location.

it was said grass in field would probably have been 2 to 3 ft tall.perp or perps knew it was hunting season .less likely to be found in middle of field.or out in grass.someone would have to walk right beside her to see her in grass that tall.

I believe the position of her bones may give some useful information.When Mrs Harrington mentioned about them traveling to pick up the remains did they mention if they were cremated?
It broke my heart,her statement about planning a funeral on her birthday..so horrible.

thank god they did find her body should be enough dna evidence to get conviction the perp or perps plan was for her to not be found for a long time thank god that didnt happen

If she was there all the time,I hope the snow helped preserve enough to help gather evidence.
I believe, it had to be someone who knew they could travel there without being seen.People around here are very wary of crossing on to private property...dogs..for one, security cameras ets..just seems these things weren't a worry to this person or persons.

Also, the hunters probably hunted more around the mountainous areas than in the open fields. I still don't think the body was left there intentionally. She probably was running. Perps would try and hide the crime, therefore hide the body.

I hink it likely either way, I just don't know- we have little info. I wonder what position she was found it - if she was curled up, on her back or on her front... that's grizzly to even think of but if she was found in foetal position it would say something

hopefuly too! Yes exactly, and clearly as she was taken to the farm and not taken back out alive she was still abandoned and left to die, even if she wasn't carried as a dead body

I do think she was close to there and may have been at a house party on the farm. From the accounts of her actions that night it sounds like she may have been drugged and could have wondered off from the house that is nearby. As for going outside at JPJ she probably was going to run outside and get a quick drink out of the car. Got outside and realized she didn't have her keys (she wasn't driving her car) then couldn't get back in the concert. The LE says there is a murderer and that could include drug dealer that she got her drugs from she may have OD'd.
