I agree every concert I have been too girls go the bathroom together. The whole story with her friends is BS as far as I am concerned. There is more to it than meets the eye...IMO

I agree. What kind of friends would just say (and I'm paraphrising) "okay........they won't let you back in the venue.......good luck hitchhiking back to your folks in Roanoke......we'll see you back at Tech." That sounds like total BS to me.

NOTICE:
Please be advised that no arrests have been made by police in the Morgan Harrington case, nor have any suspects been named. These rumors are unfounded and untrue.

Light a Candle for Morgan

Morgan lit up a room when she walked in. Her presence embodied love and light to all she met.

To honor Morgan and to show our support and love for Dan, Gil and Alex, there will be a candlelight vigil beginning at 7:00 pm, Friday, January 29, 2010.

If you are in the Roanoke area, you are invited to join friends and family gathering outside the Harrington’s home. And for others, please light a candle and join us in spirit and in thought, embracing the light and love of Morgan Harrington.

I love you too much, forever and once more.

Also, this is being discussed on other forums, including findmorgan:

I think people need to be VERY careful about drawing any connections.

“The easiest way by public road, even in a car, not an SUV or pickup or tractor, would be what I just described,” he said. “There is a barbed wire fence, but you couldn’t get to that place without crossing creeks or barbed wire fences.”

b&sbm

Is that a YES you can access the dump site by car or a NO you can't? :waitasec:

The question is how far from the fence on that side of the property was the body found. The person(s) could have driven to that point and carried her over the rest of the way (wanting to get her to a spot where they knew it wasn't kept mowed?). There's been no mention of whether the fence had been tampered with or cut. He said police cars entered from that direction, so it's entirely possible the killer did as well.

Re the strange things discussion last page: I dunno, don't want to send wild accusations out there but the route 29 thing and the burnt house, hmmmmm

Do you (or anyone here) have a link to a source about the burnt house? I keep reading that mentioned but can't seem to find it in any of the articles. Thanks.

The farm owners daughter also lives on the property & it sounds like she's not married but that could be offbase or she's possibly divorced..Maybe there's a boyfriend or was one or more..What about one or more sons? I'm sure LE is checking it ALL out but what exactly do we know right now about her?

I don't think anyone connected the farm are responsible for Morgan's death.

I believe the suspect may live nearby and knows that the backside of the farm is not worked much.

I also believe they put her in the tall grass instead of the woods because they knew if they put her in the wooded area her body may have been found earlier by hunters.

I help admin on help find morgan - people are leaving such absolutely beautiful messages of support to her family, some of whom have lost their own children to murder too -it's just heartbreaking there are no words. It's so very very sad. You're in our hearts Morgan.

I'm not very good at this and I apologize if it's already been mentioned. Could it be that Morgan (once she found out that she couldn't re-enter the arena) met up with one of the college students that live in the house that burnt down? Maybe this person told her they lived close by and she could wait out the concert at his/her place. Morgan might have felt comfortable with someone her own age and that attended the college. This person would also be aware of the part of the farm that wasn't attended often.

I really don't think that any of the college students that lived in the house that burned down had anything to do with this, but the thought did cross my mind.

Bass said he saw police drive a car across that grass and through a neighbor’s hayfield to access a fence line near where the body was found on his farm

From above it sounds like she was placed very close to the fence line but there's still the problem of the barbed wire & creeks (especially in the dark even IF a full moon?) to deal with..The farm owner would've picked up on a tampered fence cos I believe he took a good look around before calling police.

Yes I do think that makes sense, that she could have been lured to this place...

I read somewhere that the creeks can be mere trickles and the barbed wire not very unmanageable as it's just designed to deter cattle...
but yes it's still very mysterious

I believe this very strongly-I think that whoever put MH in that location is a local who realized she would not be found for quite a while- read Mr. Bass saying the only reason he saw her even when he was right there, is because he was up on the tractor.I think we are mistaken to view this like "she was just thrown in the middle of a field" there was a real chance she could have never been found there.Also..until we get the cause of death from the ME I'm not ready to TOTALLY discount accidental death.
