It's been a few days since I've had a chance to catch up on this thread, and I have a few questions.

What is this about it being possibly Morgan's boyfriend who drove Morgan and her friends to the concert? Huh? If this is just something else being thrown out there as a possibility/JMO, then ok, but I don't see one bit of evidence to back it up.

I'm also confused as to whether it has actually been officially released that Morgan was seen on video in line in the bathroom. I can't find a link to that information, but a couple of posters are stating it like it is fact. Is this just speculation, and if so where did it come from?

Finally, that choppy Photoshop composite of "Morgan" is horrible. The necklace is not similar to the one we were told she was wearing, she was wearing a black miniskirt, not a dark blue denim, etc. I don't know who did that composite. I appreciate the effort, but try, try again.

Just double checked my facts, it's was Walker and wadahoot that differd with me on Morgan's out look on life; not MeoW3. Sorry about that.

It's still on my mind. I seriously wonder why LE has not released a photo of the following items: t-shirt, skirt, handbag, and boots. Why not post: photos similar to the items Morgan was last seen wearing. Do you recall seeing a person wearing this attire?

I don’t believe it would jeopardize any future witness accounts.

I can agree to change my mind and agree with you for the need to post the TOS :) as long as you didn't mean it for me personally. I didn't think i violated anything..

As for the Wadahoot's speculation, i didn't say she was wrong or right.
There is no wrong or right unless we know the real facts, which could go either way.

Your confusing me as to what your post is about?

I'm sorry MeoW,

I wasn't directing TOS to anyone in particular, just a reminder was all. Thank you for explaining better about wadahoot's speculating. I'm sorry I confused you. Now I'm getting confused :)

Walker, if you Goggle UVA security you will see a bunch of info on the blue light phones. They link to the UVA police department as well as set off a blue light to let people in the area know there is a problem. From what the article I read said, it’s not exactly a phone but a keypad with a speaker built in. They didn’t have these when I was in college so I’m going by what I read. You can also find a cool PDF file of the locations of the BLP all over UVA and the city of C’ville. I couldn’t link it because it was a PDF file. If anyone has time, look at the locations and see if they are near the JPJ arena. I’m sure I read there was one on the bridge she was seen on (allegedly).

I'm not sure i explained Wadahoot's speculation, as it is her speculation and hers alone, the best way would to ask her what she meant.

Sometimes these cases tend to get confusing.
Ghostmaster is right when he says people and ideas are strongest when working as a team rather than individually. =)

Hopefully this link works for the PDF file:
http://www.virginia.edu/uvapolice/bluephones.pdf
These are all the blue light phones Morgan had access to at different points had she felt the need to use them. (Provided she was able to be near the different locations of the Blue Light Phones had she needed them).
The red lines the BLP's are located near stand for lighted pathways. 1 inch would equal 900 feet on the BLP pdf file map.
If you google "Copeley Rd Charlottesville, VA" you can do a visual comparison to the location of the BLP's to the area where Morgan was.

Ghost, i think there are some near Copeley rd bridge, i'm not sure if they are exactly on the rd itself, if she were walking across the bridge, she would have to run over 900 ft to a BLP, provided she would have the oppurtunity to be able to do that..

Publicity sells lawyers better than referrals do.

I just don't agree with you there. Trust is the key factor.

Referrals would be word of mouth. That would have to mean a lot of clients would refer them to others.

Yes. A middle-class or more privileged individual would ask their family attorney for a referral.

I don't see how impressing other attorneys would factor in, as they'd be competeing for the same thing. So it wouldn't matter if they "impressed" other attorneys.

Not all attorneys specialize in criminal law, and even among criminal lawyers, there are specialists in different types of cases.

As it relates to my posting of Morgan’s essay on life, a couple of you have had different slants on it than I did. I think Walker and MeoW333 brought up they saw it in a different light. After I read their posts I went back and read the essay again. I can see where there coming from. No harm, No foul; that’s the great thing about this forum. It can open your eyes to seeing things in an entirely different light. And that’s a good thing. People and ideas are always strongest working as a team rather than individuals.

ITA, and in the end what does a high school essay have to do with Morgan's disappearance anyway.
I guess it's just something to talk about because we don't have much right now.

Contradictory info has been presented about Morgan's party; how many people, how many cars, and how many tickets that her father paid for. However, at this point in time, we have reports that at least two female companions, and at least one male companion were present that night.

Quote: "A male who traveled to the concert with the three women from Harrisonburg has never been publicly identified, and while police and the Harrington family have declined to name him, he is not considered a suspect, says Virginia State Police spokesperson Corinne Geller, who said on November 13 that Morgan had her thumb out to hitch a ride."

However, one of the girls offered a seemingly contradictory statement.

I also spoke with current JMU student, Northside High School graduate, and close friend of Morgan Harrington, Sarah Snead. Snead told me she was one of the three people in Morgan’s car on the way to the Metallica concert, and one of the two people in the car on the way back from the concert to JMU."

However, earlier the possibility that Morgan's party arrived in two cars at the concert was mentioned. Two cars could account for this discrepancy.

Per Walker "I also spoke with current JMU student, Northside High School graduate, and close friend of Morgan Harrington, Sarah Snead. Snead told me she was one of the three people in Morgan’s car on the way to the Metallica concert, and one of the two people in the car on the way back from the concert to JMU."

Walker now I am confused. Are you saying that only three people were in Morgans car going to the concert and two going home. I thought Morgan, two friends and the boyfriend of another friend were there. Per your post it would make three going and one missing on the ride home. Would that be the unidentified boyfriend?

So are you thinking Morgan never even went to the concert?

People asked to light candles for Morgan Harrington
November 21, 2009
<snipped>
As the Season of Lights is about to begin, friends and family of Morgan Harrington prove they will not extinguish hope that she will come home safely.

On the website findmorgan.com, people were asked to light a candle at 9 p.m. Saturday to pray for Morgan and her family. In Roanoke County, supporters lined the street outside of the 20-year-old's home.

"These lights are in no way any indication that we're mourning the life of Morgan Dana Harrington. These lights are to represent a way back home," says Kenny Jarels, who helped organize the effort.

Valley Residents Light Candles In Honor Of Morgan Harrington
Valley residents light candles in the hope of finding Morgan Harrington.

While Morgan Harrington may still be missing, she has not been forgotten.

Tammy Strickler from Broadway, has never met Morgan, or her family, but on this Saturday evening, she's lighting candles and sending them with a prayer to bring Morgan home.

"I'm lighting these candles for Morgan's Mom and Dad, and for Morgan, just to show my support for them and to show them that we are thinking about them, and that we are praying for them," says Strickler.

Strickler believes these small acts of hope can carry a big message.

Maximizing public attention is in the interest of Morgan Harrington, and her family. However, some member of her party that night might be a potential witness to a very serious crime. Perhaps not thinking that MH's disappearance was any big deal at the time, this person or persons possibly may have made false or misleading statements to LE. If MH has been abducted and harmed, this person or persons might be fearful of some type of retaliation if they should talk openly about the case; not to mention being charged with a crime themselves. Therefore, our info is incomplete.

More on Borrowed Car Theory:

As mentioned previously, my "Borrowed Car" theory has certain flaws; such as, why didn't the borrower just tell LE that he (or she) took the car temporarily, but returned it in consideration of the remaining girls?

Also, if he (or she) left due to some altercation which may have broken out, the incident would have to have been serious enough to cause him to leave before Metallica even started; but not big enough to have been noticed by very many people sitting in the audience, else we would have many accounts of such an incident on-line.

Guess: A (perceived) threat to him personally from some person or group whom he (or she) recognized (but did not necessarily know well), rather than a loud argument?

Of course, maybe he just hated the band, but then why even go to the concert? Doesn't make sense.

Say Morgan left to go find and talk to this person. But found the car gone ... And the extra tickets etc. were locked in the trunk of her car ... The Borrower could have been either a male or female companion, but JMO more likely she would have given her keys to a BF.

Walker you do bring up a very good point, and give a very strong possible theory to back it up.
Say the boyfriend of one of Morgan's girlfriends, is the one who left, taking into consideration your theory as a possibility. Perhaps he had Morgan's keys and had got into a fight with his girlfriend who was there. Maybe Morgan was sent outside to mediate the situation? When she got outside, he was gone along with the her car. She couldn't get back inside and finally supposedly one of her girlfriends inside the arena text her.
Morgan attempts to get back inside to no avail.

Would it be possible that the "boyfriend" who attended this concert with them was not one of the other girl's boyfriends at all. But that, he was indeed Morgans? Maybe her parents didn't like him so the girlfriends were helping cover for Morgan, saying to LE that he was one of theirs and not Morgan's boyfriend.
Just throwing some possible scenarios out there..

Walker, this theory of yours is quite impressive! Please do elaborate more upon it.
Also, what is your take on why we've not heard the name of the "boyfriend" that was them that night mentioned?
Others have brought it up, and it is a good question. We know the names of the girls who went, yet it seems as for their male companion, they have neglected to mention his name..

It's entirely possible that I imagined this, but I'm pretty sure it was Secret Agent Mom who said the BLP nearest the Copeley Rd. bridge was BROKEN when she was on campus!!!

That would have been horrible if Morgan needed it and it was broken, they seem to be spaced farther and farther apart in that area, unfortunately. Maybe Secret Agent Mom can answer for us when she gets back on here?

I don’t believe it would jeopardize any future witness accounts.

I do think they should keep the shirt description hush hush. I searched for Pantera shirts with only cream Pantera letters and I found none. All cream letterd Pantera shirts have a design. I think LE withheld this info in order to corroborate witnesses informations.

I understand you think there is a good possibility that Morgan had a camera that night, but wadahoot's question was this is speculation about that camera? Your right just because we haven't been told one way or another it doesn't mean a definite answer either way but its still speculation.

MeoW,

I did feel the need to post TOS, and I agree we can agree to disagree. I just think we needed to be reminded on how to agree and disagree.

We think there was a camera bc a poster said LE told them to search for one. So that is hearsay and may not have happened. The person said they gave them the model and he or she looked for it online and found out it was red. Also, the people who saw her before the fall said she was taking pics but could not say if it a camera or phone that was used.

The bathroom info where she was seen crying was again someone posting that info. so Morgan might not have been seen on a security camera and this might only be hearsay. But this person said she looked like someone had hit her and she was crying and up to that point LE had not released that she had gotten hurt from her fall so it makes me believe this sighting was true.

Whoa! That would corroborate the first witness account that Morgan was only with a group of girls at the parking lot before the concert. The guy may have driven in a separate car.

Wonder if the guy left the concert early? Maybe he gave Morgan a lift?
