Thanks for all the updates Buzz! It's pretty sad though that he can admit to causing the death of 8 dogs, but the ban from the NFL would be for gambling. :furious: Maybe the NFL needs to revise their "code of conduct".
I don't know about the NFL rules on the other charges; I do know that gambling is reason for banning.

We'll all certainly let Roger Goodell know how we feel.

I want to hear whether the State of Virginia will bring charges.

The prosecutor will recommend 12 to 18 months for Vick; let's see if the judge is a dog owner.

Since Vick will likely serve less than the sentence, I would recommend 10 years. LOL

Help me understand this. Michael Vick pleaded guilty to fighting and killing dogs, and bankrolling the operation. However, he states he never bet and he never shared
in the winnings. He just simply wanted to keep putting his money into it and never wanted any of it back? It's not like he could use it as a tax write-off. Yeah, right.
He's lying, but maybe his co-conspirators are going along with it.

Of course he is lying, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out. Seems to me there would be a somewhat easy way to prove that. It just infuriates me people can lie and get by with it. :furious:

Well they claim that he delivered the prize money personally, so I think they could prove he gambled.

12 to 18 months is pathetic. So is the "not admitting to killing dogs and gambling"

Hopefully the judge will just look at all three of those idiots and sentence them all to the maximum allowed. Doubt it.

They shouldn't have been lenient in a plea deal, what leverage does Vick have? None. They should've demanded at least 3 years (half the maximum) with all time served plus admitted to all charges as well as the maximum fine. If he doesn't accept, then they add RICO charges which carries much more time in prison and the trial is a slam dunk.

Another rich celeb beats the system. Hurrah. Why not just let him go free with no penalty?

He admits he bankrolled it, so wouldn't delivering the money fall into that category rather than serving as proof that he was gambling? I think Michale Vick should be held to the same standards as he did his dogs. Vick is a good ball player, but not the best. Often, he didn't perform as well as he could. Hmmmm.

I just can't get over how ANYONE can torture an animal, train animals to injure and kill other animals and ENJOY WATCHING IT! Vick is an evil, disgusting and sick individual.

He is considered a tough, but fair judge. Even 3 years is not enough!

Yeah you're right. It is most definitely not enough. Mikey Vick and his partners in crime should be turned over to me. I will make sure justice is served.

So if that idiot Vick who is trying to get out of admitting gambling...And if he financed it all but didn't split the winnings, doesn't that mean he just watched the dogs fight, get hurt, then torture and kill them....just for fun? I know Vick is just worried about the NFL not banning him but that's the picture Vick will paint for himself when he eventually speaks to the media and says he didn't gamble and all that. What a dope and a very sick individual.

When one pleas they have to do so under oath. So how is that gonna work if his two buddies claim to the judge that Vick financed it, gambled, and participating in the dog torturing/murdering and then Vick claims he didn't? The judge should sentence them all to the maximum. I hope he lives up to his reputation as a tough judge.

And Mike Vick also asked for us to reserve judgment so he could clear his good name. Do we still have to do that Mike? Have you had enough time to clear your good name? Can we judge you now?

oh and anybody who says Vick deserves sympathy and a second chance or whatever and all that rehab garbage, F YOU. He doesn't give a rats 🤬🤬🤬 about what he's done. All he's worried about is the gambling charge because that affects his future in the NFL. Any apology he makes is just pandering. He doens't think he's done anything wrong.

KPNX television in Phoenix is reporting that the Maricopa County, Ariz. Sheriff's Department raided rapper DMX's home this morning in Cave Creek and removed 12 distressed pit bulls.

DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was not home at the time. News 12 is reporting a large cache of weapons was found in the home as well.

More from TMZ:

TMZ has obtained the plea agreement in the Michael Vick case. In it, Vick "admits the facts set forth in the statement of facts."

A portion of the summary of facts reads "Vick agreed to the killing of approximately 6-8 dogs that did not perform well in testing sessions ..." It continues, "All of those dogs were killed by various methods, including hanging and drowning."

The plea agreement reads, "the defendant agrees to forfeit all interests in any and all dogs involved (in) an animal fighting venture that the defendant owns or over which the defendant exercises control ... including but not limited to the approximately 54 pit bulldogs recovered from the residence ... "

The agreement also states that Vick will plead guilty to charges of conspiracy and sponsoring a dog in an animal fighting venture. He's also admitted to providing funding for dog food, medicine and purse fees for dog fighting competitions.

Vick could face up to 5 years in prison along with a substantial fine.

No, I don't think so. Delivering the winning prize money after a dog fight is gambling.

Isn't providing "purse fees" also suggestive of gambling?

Good. I'm glad to hear that! So, he lied under oath - that ought to be good for something, I hope.

Great news.

Now, that the NFL has issued a ruling, although not one with finality to it, we need to hear from the Atlanta Falcons.

Under certain circumstances the Atlanta Falcons can try to recover signing bonus money paid to Vick. I don't know if this fits those certain circumstances, but we should hear details shortly after Vick appears in court Monday.

Goodell indefinitely suspended Vick without pay. In a letter from the Commissioner to Vick informing him of the suspension, Goodell states “Even if you personally did not place bets, as you contend, your actions in funding the betting and your association with illegal gambling both violate the terms of your NFL Player Contract and expose you to corrupting influences in derogation of one of the most fundamental responsibilities of an NFL player."[6] In addition to making Vick's playing future in the NFL doubtful, the suspension also allows for the Atlanta Falcons to "assert any claims or remedies" to recover the $22 million dollar signing bonus from Vick's 2004 contract.[7
