Has everything been ruled out and this is slated to be reported as an accident? Parents aren't in custody, and LE isn't asking the public to report anything suspicious from that morning or weekend. So are they just waiting on autopsy results to confirm his COD wasn't something other than drowning...or...?

I've been searching for any news link about the tank under a trailer and the only places I find that is in the comment sections. The news is saying on the property.

Would the property records show us what the perks are and how many septic tanks are there and where ? I am not good with those records online.

I am hoping it was an accident. I think even if they wanted to charge someone right now they might want to make sure of the charges. IF he was put in the tank alive, that is a very different charge then if he died from a mistake someone made and probably would be a different suspect as well.If he fell in by himself they would have known right away right?,

I may have missed it, but do we know who lives in the house on the same property as Noah's mobile home?

The landowner /landlord. I haven't seen a name but I think he did issue a statement to the media in the first day or so of the search ,they didn't name him.

Oh, wasn't he the man who said he was like a grandfather to Noah?

I am not saying I think he crawled in, but it is possible for a child to *fall* in to a septic tank and it *does* happen.

These are actual reports from MSM of occurences of children falling in to septic tanks.

In both of the above cases, searchers immediately noticed a three foot wide HOLE visible in the yard.

IN ALL OF THE ABOVE CASES, it was visibly obvious that there was a gaping hole or a damaged cracked lid. We do not have that here, as far as we know.

Katy-how in the hell did he end up in the tank then?

I hate to ponder it. I really believe he had to have been put there by an adult. And I doubt he was alive at the time. JMO

That is what's been bugging me all evening, what did make them look after searching the property all those times?

When my kids were five, they knew not to go outside without my permission. And I don't think either of them would've put on a jacket without me insisting. They hated jackets at that age... On the other hand, if he had been hurt or killed before ending up in the tank, I can't imagine putting a jacket on him.

I agree about the jacket thing. My kids hated them too. But that jacket in the picture is a very 'cool' one with skulls and camouflage design. And it is the super easy kind to put on. Maybe he really liked it .?

No snark, just wondering if you have children? I ask because several have shared in this thread how overwhelming it is to have 2 small kids (so have I) and I can tell you I've done this several times. Again, asked respectfully.

Yes, I have 5 children, all born around 18 months apart. Yes, its very tiring. Yes, I've worked after maternity leave, each time - between 20 and 40 hours a week. I did this as a single parent for many years, after the last baby was born, so yes I know how tiring it is. Maternity leave varied from a few weeks up to 6 months, depending on my financial situation each time. So, I was back at work by the time the baby was 6 months old, max.

I'm far from perfect, but I NEVER took myself to bed, leaving a 5 year old unattended, with access to roam the house/garden. Maybe I'm over-cautious, I don't know. But the first thing that leapt up at me from this case, was that mum went to bed, leaving the child to his own devices for that long. Even with the first time line, I found it odd that she apparently woke up, saw he was still watching tv, then went back to bed assuming he'd carry on watching tv till she woke up.

I guess we just compare to our own children, and at 5 years old, none of mine would have had the interest in tv to watch for 3 straight hours. They might manage half an hour or so, but usually they wanted to do something different after that.

But that scenario assumes the getting hurt/being killed was done without a jacket being worn. What if the child had the jacket on at the time, so no need to put it on afterwards? Same with the boots he was apparently wearing?

I'm just wondering if there are any cases of 5 year olds or similar leaving their homes to wander (without parents knowing) and actually putting coats on first? There have certainly been cases of children wandering off and ending up in water near to their homes, but I'm not sure any of them had coats on. I think some may have even been bare foot. Just relying on (poor) memory here though, I could be wrong.

I work in a primary school with 5 year olds, and its a constant battle to get them to put coats on before going outside in the play area attached to their class. As soon as they have the option to go play out there, they automatically go straight outside and we have to call them back to put coats on. Its a rare child, usually a girl, who will put her coat on without being told! The play area contains no water, and is safety checked every morning before school opens and is only a small, fenced in area. However, there is always a staff member outside with the children, even with 2 adults inside the classroom attached to it. If no staff are available to supervise outside, the children don't get to use it.

Maybe that's why I am critical about the going to bed leaving the child unnattended - super-security provision drummed into me from near 15 years of working with children.

I suppose it will all depend on whether or not Noah was wearing a jacket upon discovery.

My 5 year old has a beloved jacket. Every kid is different. Some kids hate certain clothing, some kids love it and won't take it off.

If Noah did not die of an accident, I would not assume the jacket was put on after. I would assume he as wearing it when he was killed. IMO

How did he end up in the cesspool?

How did he end up in the cesspool?

Tragically, certainly. Could it have been a hiding place that didn't hold up that may have been overlooked?

  • #220
It had to have been a deliberate act by himself or someone else
