Thankyou, I'm never sure what FB pages we can link.

I think that one should be fine since it belongs to a MSM reporter. Maybe I should report my own post and ask just to be sure.

(modsnip)

And as an aside, Orlando Salinas has totally now grown in my estimation. I did not love his reporting style in some of the clips and presser coverages we saw previously but I think this guy has some serious investigative reporting chops.

I guess if that is true, it answers the question as to whether they knew there was a septic tank on the property.

I absolutely believe that friends or neighbors familiar with area would know there was a septic system there. I would bet money every home on that road and probably that whole area is on septic. And when you live in an area and know the ins and outs of that area, you can guess pretty easily. You can walk in to someone's yard and guess within a few feet where the septic mound is.

And it also clears up the question of whether the lid was off or on. Actually this is the second report of the lid being ON.

I hope LE clears a lot of stuff up soon, because true or not I think the stories have only just begun.

Reporter is just a tad too dramatic in his "reporting"....

I wonder what those 2 metal poles that just happened to be "lying around" by the septic tank were used for. I don't generally have long metal poles lying handily around my yard.

I can not make sense of that article. It feels like a random sentence generator spit most of it out and he tried to make it all fit.

Excellent point.

And why state that your fingerprints are all over the lid and poles?? That's all I'm going to say about that. Zipping my lips.

Except, haha, is did they also tell LE what other items they touched while searching had their prints on it?

I agree. There is so much I want to say but it is pure speculation.

I'm going to go blurt it all out at my husband just to get it out of my head. He is going to be so confused, lol.

She is so not zipping her lips, lol.
I'm all confused by that article. I really wish he would edit it and repost it so we could make sense of it.

I'm glad the names of the two guys who poked around in the septic tank weren't released. The story seems a bit odd.

I suspect the only info we'll get out of LE from now on will be in the courtroom, unless they have a press conference to announce more charges. Even then they would probably only announce the charges and very little other info.

I'm sorry if this has been posted here before, but I read through everything and didn't see the answer. If one of Ashley or Paul's siblings wants to become Abigail's legal guardian, he/she would probably be able to do that, right? I don't think social services will put kids in foster homes permanently if there are blood relatives willing to raise them, assuming those relatives don't have felony convictions that would make them unsuitable to raise a kid (i.e., child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬, child abuse charges).

I try that but then mine starts asking questions that we have all answered here for each other and I get annoyed that he doesn't instantly know the entire case history.

If your 'system' works the same as ours over here on the other side of the border, if children are taken into care, it's great to have family members become the caregivers to provide that familiarity for the kids.... but.... they would have to be approved.. much the same as a foster parent has to be approved, except the approvals process likely wouldn't be AS strict for family members. They'd have to have their home looked at to ensure it meets all of the safety and space requirements, they would run police checks on them, something filled out by their doctor would have to be provided, they'd probably make the family members fill out questionnaires on how they'd deal with given issues that could arise, etc. Fosters also have to provide various types of references, so family carers may also be required to provide same. Over here, one of the parents would have to be a stay-at-home carer for that age group. Another stipulation is that (over here at least) foster parents must prove they have a source of income. CAS would likely still make their regular home visits. It wouldn't just be automatic that family would be allowed to raise the kids, I wouldn't think, even if things are different over there, considering the child was removed by the agency/authorities.

I suspect the only info we'll get out of LE from now on will be in the courtroom, unless they have a press conference to announce more charges. Even then they would probably only announce the charges and very little other info.

I believe so. It also would make a difference if they are granted temporary custody, if they adopt her (if AW and PT eventually were convicted and gave up their parental rights).
