Norfolk father sentenced to 19 years for murder of 9-day-old baby

Hilary Johnson II, 23, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in connection with the death of the infant. As part of a plea agreement, child abuse charges were nolle prosequi, meaning prosecution on those counts is paused but could be brought back later. Johnson also agreed not to appeal the sentencing decision. Court records show he was sentenced to 40 years with 21 years suspended, leaving him 19 years to serve.

This is absolutely sickening. If they couldn't take care of her, they should have placed her for adoption!
