Car has been found, he has not been found.

Authorities confirmed a missing Henry County man owned a vehicle found down an embankment on U.S. 58 near Lovers Leap. Authorities on Tuesday returned to the scene of the crash. A roll back truck also was parked near the scene. Special Ops Team members from Patrick County were at the site, and rappelled down the mountainside to the vehicle. No one was in the vehicle when it was found, authorities at the scene said.

Authorities at the scene also said it was unclear if the vehicle was driven or pushed down the embankment.

State troopers used a K-9 to search the area.

VDOT notified the Sheriff’s Office 911 Communications Center and the Virginia State Police responded to the scene to investigate a perceived motor vehicle crash. Once on scene, it was determined that the vehicle was unoccupied and that a motor vehicle crash had not occurred.

Smith stated “We do not believe that anyone was in this vehicle when it went off the side of the mountain, and we believe that the vehicle has been there for quite some time.”

No human remains have been found , and Lilly is still considered missing.

I wonder if he has Grave's disease.

Poor man, I hope he's found soon. So strange that they found his car but not him.

The Patrick County Sheriff's Office says it has recovered a body from a location near the base of the Lovers Leap overlook in Vesta.

“At this point, the body will be sent to the medical examiner’s office in Roanoke for autopsy and identification,” Patrick County Sheriff Dan Smith said in a statement. The medical examiner’s findings will play a significant role in determining if foul play exists, according to the sheriff.

sounds like it to me because that area is very very very twisty and turney on Hills. the article said that it was a case that was closed. So I don't think they're even going to investigate whether it was a suicide. It was just a tragic tragic accident. Imho
