Here is another report about investigative genealogy and LE access to consumer DNA kits. Again I say that I believe the main problem with the use of investigative genetic genealogy is the mistakes that have been made and that the wrong people have been accused of committing crimes they did not commit:

As I have said on this thread I believe the actual offender in the Golden State Killer was a man called Ralph Leon Jackson and this man was also the offender in the NorCal Rapist crimes and in both of these cases it is my opinion innocent men are being subject to legal proceedings based on erroneous supposed DNA hits that do not really existed because the science behind them is flawed.

As I have said on this thread I believe the actual offender in the Golden State Killer was a man called Ralph Leon Jackson and this man was also the offender in the NorCal Rapist crimes and in both of these cases it is my opinion innocent men are being subject to legal proceedings based on erroneous supposed DNA hits that do not really existed because the science behind them is flawed.

Here is another report expressing concerns about the possible risks of consumer DNA kits and again I say in my opinion it also needs to be known that LE have used the genetic information of innocent people at these sites to wrongly accuse other innocent people of crimes they did not commit and these people have not even entered their DNA into databases:

Here are details of a very cold case where a John Doe has been identified. Of course there have been many more recent cases where unfortunate John and Jane Does have been given their identities back. Again if any concerned groups, individuals, lawyers and politicians are out there that in my opinion in terms of the identification of criminal suspects through the use of investigative genetic genealogy there have been a number of mistakes or misidentifications including in the Golden State Killer case where the actual offender in my opinion was a man called Ralph Leon Jackson and therefore in my opinion this has caused a great deal of suffering to an innocent man and his family. I therefore ask people to consider this when it is likely that genealogists, LE and private companies try to gain greater access to innocent peoples DNA in this New Year off the back of the publicity of cases like this:

I find this case interesting and have always been a fan of Unsolved Mysteries. This is a very cold case though and my point is that I believe some currently living people have been wrongly identified as the offenders in serious crime cases through the use of flawed genetic genealogy including the Golden State Killer case where in my opinion the actual offender was a man called Ralph Leon Jackson and therefore again in my opinion these mistakes have caused a great deal of harm to innocent people:

Through the grandson’s DNA, authorities were able to confirm the remains did belong to Joseph Henry Loveless.

“This was an amazing case because watching it progress, it was so difficult because of the intermarriages and the Latter-day Saints practice of polygamy. There were many, many complicated family relationships that we thought would take forever to untangle,” DNA Doe Project Co-founder Dr. Margaret Press said.

Again it is my opinion that the conviction of Mr Talbott was a wrongful one as there was not actually a legitimate DNA hit and this has set a dangerous precedent with the use of what I consider to be flawed genetic genealogy science and again in my opinion has given a false legitimacy to the scientific validity of investigative genealogy which has been seized on by organizations such as the Institute DNA Justice to promote their own agenda and to encourage other innocent people to allow access to their DNA which I believe leads to the possibility that other innocent people may be wrongly accused of crimes again through the use of flawed investigative genealogy 'science':

Of course the world would have been a better place if the Golden State Killer had never existed and was not able to commit any of his crimes. Genealogists may have had success in identifying John and Jane Does and this has to be a good thing to get the identity and dignity of crime victims back and help to get them justice. I must admit I have some ethical concerns about a living grandchild's DNA being tested by them in this very old cold case which is really a hobby for them. I say again I do not believe that investigative genealogy has been as successful in identifying potential suspects in many serious crime cases and in my opinion many mistakes or misidentifications have been made because this is a different process and in my view the science is flawed and one of these misidentifications was in the Golden State Killer case where in my opinion the actual offender was a man called Ralph Leon Jackson who was likely the most prolific Serial Killer and criminal in US History and this is the reason he has yet to be identified as such by the FBI after almost a decade after his arrest in April 2010. I again ask lawyers and concerned individuals and groups to look at the access genealogists try to gain to innocent peoples DNA. One genealogist if I remember right said someone along the lines of the website GEDMATCH had been 'pushed around' and I would say this is nothing to the disruption caused to the lives of the innocent people I believe have been wrongly accused through flawed investigative genealogy 'science':

Is there new evidence that he served 10 years in the military? I posted awhile ago that there was a vague reference to army service but nothing about time or context of service. ( could have been reserves, National Guard etc.) And nothing about where he was stationed nor why an Army enlisted man would be stationed at an Airforce base.
