Here is an interesting report about DNA phenotyping:

I am very sorry for the victims of crimes and of course serious ones like rape and murder and have spent years trying to get the victims relatives in the EAR/ONS case told what I believe to be the truth. In light of what I have said above their must be questions over the continued use of investigative genetic genealogy without the US Public being given what I believe to be all the facts. Here is another case where investigative genetic genealogy has recently been used to identify a possible suspect:
Police: Man who murdered Salisbury teen in 1984 has been identified

Here is another article about the above case where investigative genetic genealogy has been used to identify a possible suspect in the case:
Officials would only say that the suspect was a black man and that the case has been cleared. However, the Post obtained a petition for the exhumation of the remains of Curtis Edward Blair, which were exhumed to conduct a forensic evaluation, court records show.
The petition indicates witnesses saw a black man running in the area of the crime scene at the time of the homicide. Investigators received information that Blair was employed by Frito-Lay in Salisbury, located two blocks from Trexler’s grandparents’ house.

Here is another report about the case where investigative genetic genealogy was used to identify a deceased man as the suspect in a murder case:
When the DNA from the semen left on Trexler’s body was uploaded to a public genetic database, Parabon genealogists reverse-engineered the suspect’s family tree to determine possible suspects, police said.
Authorities narrowed down the family members to determine their suspect, who was in his 40s at the time of the crime.
The suspect, who was not named, died in 2007, said police.
With a court order, investigators exhumed the suspect’s body and determined that his DNA matched the suspect’s semen from the crime scene.
“Fortunately, DNA science has come a long way since 1984,” North Carolina Attorney General Josh Stein said at Tuesday’s news conference, calling it “a powerful tool.”

It is my opinion as I have stated about that the Sacramento DA Anne-Marie Schubert has been involved in a number of cases where innocent people have been wrongly accused of crimes including the Golden State Killer case where the actual offender was a man called Ralph Leon Jackson. In my opinion Sacramento LE repeated the same flawed investigative genetic genealogy to wrongly accuse another innocent man of Ralph Leon Jackson's crimes in the NorCal Rapist case and I would not bet on Sacramento LE having arrested another innocent man in another rape series. This to me is a very serious situation and I ask lawyers, concerned politicians and privacy groups to listen to what I say because I believe it is true. As we past Thanksgiving head to Christmas and the New Year innocent people and their families are suffering because of flawed investigative genealogy science. It needs to be said the FBI in my opinion have been aware that Joseph DeAngelo was not the offender and innocent from the day of his arrest and they have been aware that other innocent people have been wrongly accused of crimes they did not commit through the use of this same flawed investigative genetic genealogy:
Less than a month later, the Institute for DNA Justice was born.
The nonprofit has announced a $2 million campaign. Registration papers identify Schubert as its CEO and Ventura County District Attorney Greg Totten as chief financial officer. There is no direct link to FamilyTreeDNA, but inquiries by The Times to the law firm handling the papers were forwarded to FamilyTreeDNA's media relations firm. A spokeswoman for the media firm said its work for FamilyTreeDNA and the nonprofit are separate, though performed by the same people.

Here is some interesting information about the way investigative genetic genealogy is evolving and how it was used in this latest case:
DNA submission
CeCe Moore, the chief genealogist with Parabon Labs, joined the news conference via Skype. Moore explained the process by which the lab was able to determine the DNA results.
Moore said the process is called SNP (pronounced “snip”) genotyping, a more advanced technology that had been previously used in law enforcement cases.
Analysts are able to look at a larger portion of the genetic code and, from that, predict distant cousins. Once they have analyzed DNA, they upload the results to a public database called GEDMatch. GEDMatch was used by law enforcement to identify a suspect in the Golden State Killer case in California.
Moore said this is the 88th case in which the Parabon team has helped identify the contributor of DNA from a crime scene.
“This is a revolutionary type of analysis, and once that DNA file is uploaded to GEDMatch it’s compared to the other participants there who have allowed law enforcement to use their profiles for comparison,” Moore said.

The information about the new technology above is interesting and to me as a layman it appears that it may be a way of extending the number of hits from less profiles after the OPT IN policy of GEDMATCH was brought in. Again I have to say it is my opinion that CeCe Moore and ParaBon Labs have actually misidentified innocent people as the offender in many of the cases they have worked on including the case of Mr Talbott in Washington State which in my opinion was a wrongful conviction.
Here is a recent article about DNA databases. Again I state in my opinion many innocent people have been wrongly accused of crimes they did not commit when DNA databases have been accessed and investigative genetic genealogy has been used to try and identify a potential suspect in serious crimes:

Here is a video about the Golden State Killer case recently posted on You Tube about the Golden State Killer case. Again I feel it is my moral duty to state I believe there was actually a misidentification in this case through the use of flawed investigative genetic genealogy science and the actual offender was a man called Ralph Leon Jackson:

In April of 2018, news broke that the elusive Golden State Killer had been identified through a new technique called genetic genealogy (or investigative genealogy). In just 4 ½ months, Paul Holes and his team (including genealogist Barbara Rae-Venter) put a name to the man who had terrorized California for years.
In this interview, Paul and Barbara discuss working on the case together, how genetic genealogy has helped solve other cold cases and what they foresee for the future, how their lives have changed since news broke of their involvement, and what’s next for them.
