It is my opinion that the FBI have known that Ralph Leon Jackson is the most prolific Serial Killer in US History for almost a decade but as of yet have not identified him as such. They are also aware that men held in many cases through the use of investigative genealogy are innocent including Joseph DeAngelo in the Golden State Killer case and William Talbott in Washington State where I believe he was wrongly convicted on the basis of a scientifically flawed DNA hit that the FBI were aware was not a legitimate one. Here is another report about the takeover of GEDMATCH:

Genealogy database sells out to FBI-linked forensic genetic sequencing firm – [your]NEWS

GEDMATCH has been sold on the erroneous basis that it has actually solved the Golden State Killer case when in reality in my opinion it has caused a great deal of suffering to an innocent man Joseph DeAngelo and his family. Despite what people say financial gain must also be a big motivating factor behind the deal:

Despite having been founded specifically to furnish law enforcement with genetic data, Verogen is positioning itself post-acquisition as the defenders of GEDMatch users’ rights to genetic privacy. “We are steadfast in our commitment to protecting users’ privacy and will fight any future attempts to access data of those who have not opted in,” CEO Brett Williams said in a statement released on Monday.

But Williams also couldn’t hide his glee at having millions of users’ DNA profiles at his fingertips: “Never before have we as a society had the opportunity to serve as a molecular eyewitness, enabling law enforcement to solve violent crimes efficiently and with certainty,” he gushed. Public approval for the use of DNA databases to solve violent crimes is strong, thanks to cases like the Golden State Killer, but genetic researchers agree that it’s a slippery slope from using DNA to nab murder suspects to hacking that DNA and using it to frame people.

What I am saying is that the US Public should be given what I believe are the true facts and this is investigative genetic genealogy has been used LE to wrongly accuse innocent people of crimes and this includes Joseph DeAngelo in the Golden State Killer case.

Here is another report by the acquisition of GEDMATCH by a private company:
Tech Firm That Develops Tools for Police Buys Massive DNA Database | Elexonic

At the moment there is an active campaign to get people to OPT IN to GEDMATCH including by LE and organisations like the Institute for DNA Justice. This is a forceful campaign sold to the US Public as being in the interest of public safety yet in my opinion is being sold off the back of the suffering of innocent people wrongly accused of crimes they did not commit on the basis of erroneous DNA supposed DNA hits generated by flawed investigative genetic genealogy 'science' used by those who do understand the flaws:

Verogen CEO Brett Williams told Buzzfeed News that some 200,000 people have already opted in to law enforcement searches. But last month, a Florida detective armed with a warrant was able to access the entirety of GEDMatch’s database.

That suggests that opting out may not be the safeguard that it sounds like — either for individual customers, or their relatives who could also be identified through their shared DNA.

“We’re not going to force people to opt in,” Williams told Buzzfeed News. “If I try that, I know I’ll undermine everything.”

My main concern is for what I consider to be the suffering of innocent people for crimes they did not commit which I feel is unjust. It is my view an active OPT IN campaign is dangerous and very unethical as by definition DNA is a very individual thing and it should be an individual's decision to enter it into a database and not at the persuasion of others with all the associated motives and subjectivity they bring with them.

In this very report is a picture of Joseph DeAngelo with a skeletal appearance. What I am saying is he is not the actual offender and the actual offender in the Golden State Killer crimes and many others was a man called Ralph Leon Jackson. This is an important point and in my view there is no valid public safety argument in LE wrongly accusing what I consider to an innocent man of crimes he did not commit:

The database currently has more than 1.3 million customer profiles, according to Verogen.

"We are steadfast in our commitment to protecting users' privacy and will fight any future attempts to access data of those who have not opted in," Williams said.

Up to 70 violent crimes have been solved as a result of genealogy searches, according to the company. GEDmatch was the tool California authorities used to identify and catch the suspected Golden State Killer.

Here is a report about investigative genetic genealogy which mentions the Institute for DNA Justice. I just want to state again it is my opinion that many of the men shown in the images at their site are actually innocent wrongly accused of crimes they did not commit through the use of flawed investigative genetic genealogy 'science' and this includes in my view Joseph DeAngelo in the Golden State Killer case as the actual offender was a man called Ralph Leon Jackson. It is my opinion that those LE and former LE who have set up the Institute for DNA Justice do not understand the flaws in their methodology and science and that is why they are making mistakes. To me I have a moral obligation to state my views as innocent people being wrongly accused of crimes they did not commit is unjust to me:

As I have stated I believe GEDMATCH has been used to wrongly accuse a number of people of crimes they did not commit including Joseph DeAngelo in the Golden State Killer case with the actual offender being a man called Ralph Leon Jackson. In my opinion given what I have see before with the use of investigative genetic genealogy I doubt the validity of this statement and there is a financial aspect to the acquisition of GEDMATCH to both the old and knew owners so again I ask for concerned independent people to look into for me if they can:

The new owners of GEDmatch have vowed to protect users’ privacy by fighting against police search warrants. Verogen announced this week that it would ensure ongoing privacy protections remain in place.

I had not seen this before but here is a report about investigative genetic genealogy but many from the unidentified Doe side as opposed to identifying possible suspects in criminal cases:

As I have said to me it is an important point that I believe the DNA profiles at GEDMATCH have actually been used to wrongly accuse innocent people of crimes they did not commit through the use of flawed investigative genealogy 'science' that LE do not understand the flaws in and this includes the Golden State Killer case where Joseph DeAngelo is in my view an innocent man and the actual offender was a man called Ralph Leon Jackson:

"Developing and growing the GEDmatch site will help solve more crime moving forward," said Allison Nunes, Chief Operating Officer with DNA Labs International. Since 1980, there are 220,000 unsolved murders across the U.S. according to the Murder Accountability Project. "Verogen is a larger company that has the resources to support the expansion of GEDmatch in the wake of the successful resolution of over 70 violent crimes. They will be able to develop the tool for years to come and support solving more crime with genealogy."

I need to say it again because I think it is an important. I believe there have been many misidentifications of the wrong offender in crime cases through the use of investigative genetic genealogy and this started with the Golden State Killer was where in my opinion the actual offender was a man called Ralph Leon Jackson and not the man being held for the crimes. Here is another case where investigative genetic genealogy has been used to identify a suspect:

Dead man tied to 11-year-old girl's cold case murder in Texas through DNA

Of course it is the horrible murder of a young child and I hope justice is brought to her and her family but in my opinion it will need to be checked in the light of what I said are mistakes by LE through their use of genetic genealogy.

Here is an interesting article about DNA with relevance to investigative genetic genealogy:

Genetic testing is an inexact science with real consequences

Here is part of the above article:

Fast forward to this summer, when I got an email about new DNA relations on 23andMe and revisited my updated genetic results, only to find out that I am, in fact, about a quarter Italian (and generally southern European). But it was too late to tell my grandma. She’s dead now and I’m a liar.

This sort of thing happens a lot because ancestry DNA testing — and genetic testing in general — is an inexact science that’s prone to errors throughout almost every step of the process. As my Vox colleague Brian Resnick has explained, some small amount of error is unavoidable within the technical portion of analyzing your DNA.

We all on here like to see cold cases solved and justice for the victims. In my opinion flawed investigative genealogy has been used to wrongly accuse innocent people of crimes they did not commit and many of the people shown on the Institute for DNA Justice website are innocent and in my opinion this includes Mr McCraney who is in my opinion a good African American man and human being wrongly accused of a terrible crime:

It is my opinion that investigative genetic genealogy is a flawed science and in the Golden State Killer Joseph DeAngelo is an innocent man and Paul Holes has sought to exploit his suffering and that of his family for his own personal and financial gain deliberately denying him access to a fair trial:

I do really believe a word these genealogists say as they are all unscientific and full of their own self interest and subjectivity in my opinion. What I want to say is despite their blind allegiance to their organisation I believe the FBI Agents involved in this case are honest people. This is just because I want to play Dennis Waterman:
