eta: also, i believe the ONLY reason this even came up at the hearings was because JB and the rest of the circus were trying to say that vass only got involved to promote his machine.. and make "millions" off of it..
when really, he's only entitled to a small percentage that's shared with other inventors...

Today, I was reading on some web site (visited a lot of web sites today, so cannot pinpoint which one it was) that Dr. Vass did not use his "sniffer machine" (LABRADOR) in this case.

Does anyone know if that is correct?

That particular "sniffer machine",known as Labrador ,was not used in this case.
I believe LABRADOR is an acronym.IIRC ,it's to locate clandestine graves,but not 100% positive about that .

:twocents: IMHO: the manner in which the question was phrased is the key, there ARE scientists who have isolated chemicals of decomposition that are included in Dr. Vass' EXTENSIVE database BUT not ALL of the chemicals. The database is NOT an open, accessible to the world document/table/collection of data points like the table of elements is BECAUSE it is retained under a propriety ownership of the investors/researchers et al of the developmental instrument. They other key factor missed somewhat in the defense gang's queries: the variables of the studies discussed as supplemental support to/with Dr. Vass' research/opinion! :truce:

So then that is why Baez keeps harping on that 'millions' that he claims Vass aims to make off keeping that database a secret. Could that secrecy be a factor in potentially keeping his air sample testimony out? It does not feel like a sure thing to me. It feels like Judge Perry is iffy on admitting it, imo.

If memory serves me correctly, Dr. Vass did not sell pictures of an identified 2 year-old missing child, later to be considered a victim of homicide whose mother, his "client" was being tried for the child's murder....to ABC Television. For $200,000.

ETA-I was careful with wording because perhaps Dr. V's publications/efforts have garnered grant money, and perhaps he has published photos of decomposing children. Apples and Oranges, of course. Dr. Vass does not have to promote death to make money, death happens everyday with or without him-JB used the missing status and later unnecessary and unnatural death of Caylee-to make up for the fact that he was retained by a client who's broke!

Just my 2 cents...Is JB saying that Dr Vass is correct in his findings with all his $$millions$$ harping? Also, again just my 2 cents I think his harping about the $$millions$$ just shows where JB's mind really is.

JB is a sensationalist and apparently believes in defense by obfuscation and distraction. Given what he has to work with, I don't know that he has many other options at this point.
