Vehicles owned or used by Garrido

Interesting point. I wonder if they did and perhaps it was in someone else's name???? Or then of course, it came up one "Phillip Garrido" and THEY DIDN'T KNOW HE WAS A REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER!!!!!!!!:banghead:

Yeah! LE said PG was NEVER a suspect in the Dugard case! :furious:

I would think the respective DMV's would have that info., CA & NV. However, I don't know how far back they keep records. Or maybe his insurance companies would have that info.??? LE SHOULD be on it, but I just thought I'd throw the importance out there. I really can't figure out why someone didn't see this jerk(off) and report him back then. If they can figure out his whereabouts this way, with cars or sightings it might just lead to crackin' a case!

I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't have car insurance. With all his clunkers it would have been quite a bit to insure them all.

Does anyone know someone in LE that could run the license plate from the green van? It would give an idea of whether or not vehicles were in his, nancys or his moms name.

I seriously doubt anyone in local LE would help us get any information on this case.

Well, apparently they don't want to release any record from 1992 - I guess it was claimed because of the ongoing case. Someday we might get the whole scoop on whether they really did anything in 1992 besides show up at the gas station, leave because no one was there, and at some point report it to El Dorado County.

There's a whole bunch of stuff they could have done, but I'm gathering that they did not request the public be on the lookout when someone gave this tip - like put it in the newspapers or on posters (esp in close proximity to Jaycee's Missing posters) that they are looking for this big old honkin', very Yellow, boxy Dodge van.

I suggested elsewhere that could they could also have alerted LE to look for it and ask any police helicopter searches keep it in mind or even make a couple of extended passes over the area - I guess Garrido could have immediately put it in storage or covered it, but why do I think he didn't even bother?

I think Garrido didn't show up in the SO database till later? 1999? or am I way off - my mind is a little mushy tonight. But still, he was on Parole wasn't he?

1999 was when he switched from federal parole to calfirornia rso.

just another failed opportunity to save jaycee at the gas station :( so frustrating

I did read and maybe it was is the NE not sure where....

JC did NOT remember anything about a Gas station story at all.
It could also mean she had suppressed it, but that is the story I read.

It could also mean the sighting was of Michelle because they did look alike, in some ways.

i really doubt the validity that it was someone from le. more likely someone with a sick sense of humor.

:waitasec:I don't get that.
A normal person would not do that, a perp has no incentive in doing that.

a normal person in that area? lol
a perp with a sense of invincibility would do it.......i think at the end garrido thought that. maybe not so much in 1992

I didn't feel the need to share everything in an open forum and I resent your implications. The jest of the email was to get me to stop posting to a local forum. It was not a friendly communication, but more of an intimidation and as I said I have no proof of it's validity.

You know that me and several other members here are from the area and I find that very offensive to all of us!

The bickering will get us closed down.
If you don't like what someone says, don't respond. If you must respond, at least don't quote the offensive post.

We are here to show Jaycee love and support and to seek resolution to other cases that may have a connection. We are not, to the best of my knowledge, here to argue over our personal opinions of the area she was held in and the people that live there now. Nor are we here to argue over personal communications and whether they were legit. Come on now. Enough is enough.
