*chewing some tums* Ain't got no nails left to chew on and shock of all shocks: nails don't curb heartburn.

Does anyone know the Weight Watchers points value on Tums? :)

When I go visit my mother I love to ride with her when she goes to her motor bank. She pulls into one of the lanes (like the commuter lanes on the Bay Bridge) and that tube thingy comes down. She pulls it out and puts paper things in it and sends it away. Then we wait. Then the tube thing comes back with more paper and sometimes money too.

The whole time I laugh and laugh. She gets so mad. My mother lives in the land that time forgot.

That's weird, I do the exact same thing as your mom. How do you deposit your own things, go inside? I don't get it...

In a past life I used to adore Dan A. :blushing:

He worked with Jerry Nachman on MSNBC. Nachman was my favorite among cable journalists. Old school, no fluff, just the facts. The way Journalism used to be. I was saddened by his passing.

But is he a chemist?
Lol!

Today did any of you hear the one caller on HLN; talking to VinnieP; I don't think VP heard hear clearly....she said "sometimes I see things" and JA did this and then she did that...she was reciting the crime as if she "see's" things sometimes....(ofgs)

:blushing: How did that caller even get through?

Pay for Jury Service
Will I be compensated for jury duty?
Yes. Jurors are compensated for mileage if they appear the first day but do not serve for a trial. Mileage is currently calculated round-trip from the center of your zip code to the court building. The current rate is 44.5 cents per mile. If selected to serve as a juror for a trial, you will receive $12 dollars for every day the trial lasts, plus mileage. Checks are sent out a week or two after your service has been completed.

Arizona lengthy trial fund (See Also FAQ below) provides for jury service reimbursement of lost income, up to $300/day. Completed application and documentation of lost income must be received and notarized by the Office of the Jury Commissioner within 30 days service. All application forms are available online or from your trial court staff

Just wanted to say, luv your avatar.

I wonder how often people are bullied into their vote by others.

I can imagine one juror being so anal, wanting to go through every detail carefully, but others getting frustrated since it seems so obvious. Probably many times when jurors have scrapped (verbally or physically) to come to a decision and be done with it.

We seriously need a sarcasm font or special enclosures or something to signify sarcasm.

Of course, every thing I write would have to come in special enclosures. :D

Hey now, I'm 33 and I promise I think critically all the time. I think the issue is simply that we have a society where more and more people aren't taking responsibility for the actions and decisions.

Yes to not taking responsibility, but:

Did I say 33yo people didn't think critically? Did I single out any age group? No, I did not. So where you got from my post that I was talking about people of a certain age I do not know. If I were to single out any generation that planted the seeds of prevailing wisdom today, it would be long before yours or even mine.

Just so all of you born after 1960 realize I wasn't picking on you.

What is the amount of collateral damage to other individuals that would occur during the trial?

What does "when you consider them in the context of all parties' relationship and affiliation with the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, they become a very big deal?"

Is Arias writing this? Does she believe that the LDS Church would be afraid of her?

What does "marriages, standing within the religious communities would be affected, personal friendships would be affected, and most of all the very poignant and cherished memories of Mr. Alexander would be tarnished," mean?

Was Arias so delusional that she believes that Travis Alexander was a prophet that also serves as President of the Church? Did Arias think that Travis Alexander was an extremely important part of the LDS Church? For example, if Travis Alexander happened to be Catholic instead of Mormon - would Arias believe that Travis Alexander was The Pope?

Travis Alexander is a wonderful person - but he was an average person (like the majority of us are).

I do not know what exactly Arias (or whoever wrote this) thought - that The State would back down because an average human being that happened to be Mormon had premarital sex?

Did Arias honestly believe that she had 'relationships' (Travis Alexander, PPL, Travis Alexander's friends) with the top echelon of society - the global elite?

Really, these statements "when you consider them in context of all parties' relationship and affiliation with the LDS Church they become a very big deal ... poignant and cherished memories of Travis Alexander would be tarnished," sound strange.

Did Arias think that the LDS church would stop her murder trial before letting "the secret" that Travis Alexander had premarital sex?

I am really enjoying HLN now .. it's officially moved into the *awkward* era .. they didn't think it would take two days, nobody has anything to talk about .. there's no drama to feed off (except apples and soda) and they've already hashed everything out on 'HLN After Dark' .. TV Gold!

They drive me insane. But we all have to appreciate their relentless obsession with this trial!
