After all the testimony I wonder if it's too late for a plea other than to get life instead of DP. JRR is toast and is of little, if any, value to the MS trial so what does the state need it for other than to get this trial over with? Well, after thinking a little more, a change to guilty plea would help in the MS case having both murderers admitting to and convicted of the crime.
when I said plea, I should have said he will change his answer to guilty but he has nothing to lose by continuing. He is screwed all around

This is only my second post, and a part of it is OT so I apologize already. I had to miss the first half of the trial this am, and I went on YouTube to find it, is this the best way to watch if you can’t live?
The OT part: when I was on YouTube and searched, I came across Teresa’s channel. She had multiple videos regarding wellness. For someone who didn’t know her, it was nice to see her in that light, a proud and confident woman that really had a passion for what she did.

Those jurors must feel so queasy. I sure do.
They have to not talk to anyone about it.
MOO, there's no way for Defense to turn this
around for Jimmy now. Toast!

I'm sorry if this has been asked and answered, 4 attorneys for jr.... Are they all from public defender from lee county? And how does he rate 4?
It's a defense team in a capital murder case with the death penalty on the table. One of the attorneys has to be "death qualified" (forget in FL how many DP cases that means they have to have tried, but x#). The lead is Fitzgeorge. There is a lot of evidence in the case so they divided it up into different areas.

I can't begin to tell you how much work a trial is for attorneys and staff. I have slept / showered at the office a lot of times when in trial. It is brutal.

I wonder if he will ask for a plea now before Monday, LOL. He knows he is toast!

Nope, he thinks he's got this....he is either so arrogant that he thinks he's got this, so stupid he doesn't understand any of this or.. heck i don't even know what else. I'd love to know what his family is thinking right now after all the lies he told.

Hey there, kakidoll.... Little Jimmy has a private practice defense team from the Faga practice in Naples. And yeah, there’s 4 there... 2 are on PCs all the time then 2 other attnys sit facing the bench... Mummert (guy) & Fitzgeorge (lady). Someone please correct me on any & all if I’m wrong here. Faga, himself, was on the defense team for Beatle, John Lennon’s killer all those yrs ago in NY. Now, drumroll.... the tax payers are footing that bill.
Just tuned back in... is that one of the defense PC guys speaking right now? He may be more than just a PC guy. Sorry if I’m incorrect on some of this.

A motion for judgment of acquittal is a criminal defendant's request to be acquitted. Such a request is made at the close of the government's case or the close of all evidence. A motion for judgment of acquittal is made when there is no legally sufficient evidentiary basis on which a reasonable jury could return a guilty verdict.

Thank you. I knew he needed a death qualified but in other FL cases, I just don't remember a Public defenders office having 4 senior attorneys. Usually a couple 'new' to do the research/paperwork and running. Unless someone has come on pro bono (or like a Jose Baez type). This just seems different to me.

FYI - Please don't get worked up by this attorney asking for an Order for Acquittal. Simply a formality to put on the record. Will never be granted.

Look at it on the bright side - if the defense didn't do this, JR would be screaming ineffective counsel because they should have asked the Court for this before sending case to jury.

This is a peek into what their closing argument will look like.

No Faga is not Jimmy’s attorneys. Faga Law was Mark Sievers’s attorneys, Tony Faga and Mike Mummert, but Faga passed away and Mummert now has his own law office.

Casey Anthony had about 8-10 on her team. I think there were 5-6 at trial.
