Just a question, here: Can a defense attorney who lies be disbarred?

And how many times he did that! Wonder if there’s a penalty of some sort. Supposed to state facts or, in this case, maybe keep your mouth shut vs spinning the truth to confuse jurors.

Was it brought into evidence/this trial that JRR said he was going to his brother's graduation?

Great question! Im curious too. I'm *guessing* the only thing that will happen would be the jury would recognize it and distrust and disregard the defenses argument.

Just the suggestion that TS wanted a little sexy time with CWW makes me want to throw up in my mouth a little. Shame on the defense! I hope the state kicks Mark's and his defense team's azz and hands it back to them when they peddle this nonsense at MS's trial

Objection and side bar. A quarter of the gallery raced out the door. Potentially for a bathroom break at an opportune time. #trialtweets

To clarify, Mark's counsel is being paid by the state. He was slick, though. When his first attorney dropped him, he hired Mummert and Faga......THEN he claimed indigence and asked the state to pay Mummert and Faga. They had to agree to the state standard of pay (something which Mummer will likely regret in my opinion) - but the state is paying as Mark claimed indigence. That is why every time the defense investigator needed more hours, the state had to give permission. Oh, and LOL - per Mummert at one of the motion hearings, the investigator (paid by the state) is now not testifying (and FYI, Anthony Faga is now deceased).

RIP Anthony Faga. I hate to hear he has passed, even if he was representing Mark. He is still a soul lost that I'm sure left a hole in the hearts of those that loved him.
Now that you mention it, I do remember this. Earlier I was thinking his mother was footing the bill.

Oh! Thanks for correcting me. I forgot that he eventually claimed indigency!

If you are referring to the stuff he said in his closing argument, no. His job is to slide right up to the line, misrepresent and create lots of smoke and mirrors.

Yes. That was the reason he gave his boss at Doe Run when requesting time off.

Did the jurors hear this? (I didn't watch every minute of this trial)

Wright and Rodgers did not come to Florida for a law school graduation or to come to any school at all, Wright said.

So the handicap deck building ninja can drive too? Is anyone shocked?

Is anyone else bothered by all the objections to the State's closing? It really interrupted the flo. Seems like it was cut short. And then why all the smiles at the bench when jurors were on recess. including JRR? That said, I think Hamid Hunter did a great job.

Yes. And it is probably their intent to interrupt the flow.

If JRR was only there to burgle, he would have burgled. Not waited around for her to get home.
