At 13:00 images recovered from unallocated..discussion begins
the time DELETED is not there typically you may not recover the date and time

"But in this case these images, when you take them with this camera, it embeds the date and time the camera has set on it to the file itself"

It's crucial evidence recovered by hardworking policemen and I applaude them for it.

Does anyone else believe the jury may have reached a verdict Thursday but the judge said it was too late to announce it and it would be better to do it on Monday? Why was JW and her minion there with clothes for JA? Why was the Alexanders there? Why did that nitwit Angela (JA's sister) say they will find out about JA's fate on Monday. Did JA's mother tell her that. Sandy told J Gold she would not be there for the verdict. I think she knows what it will be. But too much happened at the courthouse late Thursday. I bet they announce a verdict Monday morning. I hope so, the suspense is killing me.

I don't think so... I think if they had decided they would have said so. It makes more sense that they would announce it to All directly after than to wait 3 days to tell the world. JMO
I DO hope it's Monday though!

I do find it curious the JAs sister specifically said Monday. ....you would think she would say something like next week or so.

Exactly

I am not sure who has a yellow truck. But over in Jodi land, they still try and sell the fantasy narrative that Deanna slashed his tires, sent the sick warning notes, AND was one of the ninjas/ LOL To this day, some hold to that version, and say Jodi only confessed because she was in a fog, and was coerced into believing she did this. :eyeroll:

This site is acting bonkers for me tonight????? I have replied 3 times and it didn't send. Anyway, those 3 or 4 people are whacko. They sound like escapees from "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest"

Still, I want her on Death Row.

As you said, krkrjx, advocacy groups wouldn't touch SP with a ten foot pole. A wife and baby killer will not sway public opinion to your side. But a sweet, soft spoken 'girl' who was desperately in love and abused until she had to fight back is a powerful symbol. There are so many 'groups' out there who want to make a statement, whether it be anti DP, pro prison reform, anti DV, political advancement on an anti DP platform, whatever. They need a martyr. JA could be that person if it suits her agenda. She can change herself into anything. She latched onto the omnibus hearing quickly because it suited her needs.

I could care less what JA fills her prison days with. But, with powerful advocates, she could reach out and touch a lot of people. Every time she succeeded in getting a hearing, a motion considered, an appeal requested or granted, the media reports would start. The 'help' group du jour would see to that. The Alexanders would be forced to see her smirk in every newspaper, on line, and on their tv coverage. The lies about Travis would be repeated. They would be contacted by the press, repeatedly. Then the courts would contact them and they would be wrenched from whatever peace they have found to testify again to try to defend their brother and keep her wretched carcass in prison. It would be a never ending cycle. She would never go away.

Then, if political climate changes, she could be released. And the Alexanders would be devastated once again. I want to see her given the DP, but not at the expense of healing and some sort of peaceful future for Travis' family.

Its likely the Jury reached their verdict Thursday probably pretty late And agreed that since it was so late to take advantage of the 3 day weekend to soul search, pray, go to church, meditate on it PRIVATELY and come back Monday to make sure everybody is still okay with their verdict. A death penalty Is the most egregious sentence we can impose while the jurors are Not physically putting the needle in her arm as nurmi explained they were sealing her fate. And what nurmi said is true, it is a choice they will carry with them forever. I never thought the Jury would or even should come back quickly. Id be surprised if she gets the death penalty not because she doesn't deserve it but because she is a younger female and statistically they don't get put on death row. Also either way LWOP or DP both sentences are a mixed bag. This case definitely has made me aware of the need for sentencing reform and stronger victim advocacy bills. No family should ever have to go through what the alexanders have had to endure. The pursuit of justice for travis has been needlessly prolonged and their grief and agony magnified at the hands of that very judicial system.

I think she did copy all of the photos to take with her. I think that would be the Trophy that she wanted to always remember the day by.

It's possible, she said she had her laptop with her, and the hard drive was 'broken' when LE confiscated it.

I believe she brought the memory card with her (to Mesa on June 4th) that had the already-deleted nude pics on it. I don't think she could have altered the EXIF data on either the nudes (very little of the EXIF data left as it was) and it would have been apparent if she tried with the shower photos. I think she put that memory card into Travis' camera and took the shower pics. When the memory card was retrieved from the washer and opened on Melendez computer he found the shower/accidental pics plus fragments (thumbnails) of the nudes. Why would she add pics to the computer - and which computer?

You could fill ten football fields with what I don't know about cameras and smart phones and computers, but all three of my sons are tech savvy. But they are sick to death of me asking questions regarding this trial, I can tell the way they look at me. LOL My ENT doctor probably thinks I am nuts for asking about gunshot wounds to the head. I wish I knew more about this new technology it would come in handy a lot of times. JA knew a lot about cameras and phones and computers. She told those Lawyers where to look for stuff because, I think she put most of it on there. Just like Juan said at the end of his closing statement. Check Travis's phone texts, many were not on there, too many characters. Even that Lonnie Dworkin said that.

Nope. JW and Maria were there much earlier in the day with the clothes. All the activity happened at the end of the day. They have no idea if it will be Monday any more than anyone else does.

That would be a risky move and JSS has been far from a risky person. I just can't imagine her taking a chance on potential charges of juror misconduct or some other grounds for mistrial by Nurmi if the jury had announced they had a verdict and yet were told to go home for three days. As far as I know, once you have a verdict, it gets announced. You want the case locked down. Now it is possible the jury may have decided and just wants to sleep on it but I don't find it at all probable that they announced they had reached a decision and then JSS told them to go home.

Is it possible to take a picture of a picture? and make it look like it was of a actual person

Not from a computer screen, really. There will be a visible moiré effect from the raster lines of the display screen. A photo of a print: possibly, but it's hard to get the lens exactly parallel so that there is no noticeable distortion.

Thank, I wasn't sure.

And then go through a five step process to delete them? Why?

IMO it's overthinking this. They woke up. Travis ate oatmeal and returned a text. He got the camera out of the box in his office. The bag and strap were found outside his bedroom door in the loft area. They had sex. They took pics like they spoke of in the sex tape three weeks prior. It's what they did. Sex was a weapon for her June 4 as much as the knife and gun were.

The supplemental offer of proof is no doubt a supplement to the earlier-filed offer of proof, which would have detailed what Jodi would have said if she had continued testifying and/or had done an allocution. These are important for purposes of appeal.
(I snipped out the other answers to save space.)

What would be the value of the offer(s) of proof of what she would have said? She CHOSE not to testify/allocute, so who cares what she might have said? It's completely irrelevant and a moot issue isn't it? Does every killer who chooses not to take the stand submit something in writing that gets reviewed on appeal? I would think not.

It's really important for the appeal if there's a death sentence. The defense will have to say on appeal, "Jodi did not voluntarily give up her right to testify/allocute, and IF SHE HAD DONE SO SHE WOULD HAVE SAID __________, which reasonably could have made a difference to the verdict because _________, so this Court should vacate the death sentence." If you just say the first part and the last part, you lose. If you say the middle part with nothing in the trial court record to support it, you lose. So you have to get the proposed testimony on the record, either by having the witness testify outside the presence of the jury "for the record," or having the attorney describe the proposed testimony outside the presence of the jury, or filing a written description of the proposed testimony.

Bringing this over from the last file. Sorry I could not copy and paste so I took a photo!

It's possible, but I think JSS would find it too risky as Boytwnmom said to leave things sitting for a 3-day weekend. Jurors could be struck by lightning or run over by llamas or something in that amount of time. ;)

Was it true that JM showed up Thursday? I thought that was tweeted. That's why I thought there might have been a verdict. I'm hoping Monday and I had a good feeling when I read that the jurors were seen smiling while leaving.

I agree.

Even though I really expected a verdict by the end of Thursday, when the tweeters were saying the jury had a smorgasburg going and were smiley at the end of the day I took that as there was no dissention in the group and they were all on the same page. I'd like to think all they have to do Monday morning is a bit of paperwork and then push a buzzer, but maybe they still have more evidence to review first. I wish the jurors know what we all know, but they just don't. I think that's why most here are ready to push the plunger on the little rat fink. lol

For me personally, I think some pics were added by Jodi manually to Travis camera (somehow copied), PLUS she obviously took some real ones too. The shower photos, the foot in hallway photo, etc.

So to me BOTH happened. I am not convinced they had sex on that particular day. I think some of the photos she copied make it appear that way.

The 2 that were mentioned a little bit ago I agree could have just been Jodi taking pictures of travis while he slept and he caught her in the last photo where he appears to throw the KY. But that doesnt mean to me that they had sex that day.

For example, what if she had snuck in just then and was surprising him and she may have thrown the KY at him and asked if she could jump in the sack. He may have just woke up and threw it back at her, and not being pleased she was even there.

It doesnt really matter much to me if they did have sex that day. Its just I am not convinced they did yet. Because I do think she copied some of the sexual photos onto his camera somehow.

The main reaons i think that is some of them just look "funny" and not quite right. They look to me to have been taken on a different day and different time. Especially the Goldilocks one...LOL

Anyway, none of it matters a whole lot now. I just wish we could someday know the truth about everything and I doubt we will ever get that.

Jodi is like the boy who cried wolf. Someday if she ever tells us the real truth, i wont believe her. LOL

Just chiming in off of Hatfield's post ... In the previous thread someone mentioned I (Shadowboy) had something to say about time stamps, etc. on the photos.

I had a convo with Hatfield over the validity/recording of the sex-phone conversation. Don't recall any "words of wisdom" from me re: the still photos.

For the record: In spite of my 'tag name' ... I am female. Knew a faithful, loving male dog by the name of Shadow. And -- yes -- I am a video professional. Have 30+ years in a male-dominated industry, so I guess I've earned the tag 'boy.'

I can see the jury notifying the court deputy that they had reached a verdict then the bailiff takes the verdict to JSS and she notifies the DT and PT and then dithers about thinking it is getting late and after notifing the media one hour ahead it would make it later still, so finally she decides to wait until Monday morning and tells jury to go home and come back monday and then told the DT and PT. JW leaves court and so does Juan and then the family. But they won't tell anyone because Juan told them not too. DT told Sandy too but her loud mouthed daughter twitted it out there that they would know JA fate on Monday. I could be all wrong about this but it does explain all the odd behavior late Thursday afternoon. JMHO

No way. I bet JSS wants this over and done with even more than we do.

Someone posted that JSS might have been asked to ask some questions of the jurors, and the Alexanders and JA would have had the right to be there when that happened. JA cannot be seen by the jury in stripes until after they sentence her.
