I am planning to attend, but I thought I'd try to go about an hour after they get back from lunch... I was there for the BC verdict and that's about when it happened. It's possible they'll be done around 11 I suppose so they can get it over with and be out by lunchtime. Problem is, I can't spend all day there, so I would just have to get lucky on my guess about when they'll reach a verdict like I did for BC...

Same here, I can't stay all day and need to be home before the kids get out of school. I'm still debating whether I want to go this morning or in the early afternoon. This group seems to be taking lunch pretty late in the day.

ETA: Am I correct in assuming it's OK to use my laptop in the courtroom when they are not in session?

I've been thinking about the verdict this weekend. With all the inconsistencies in JLY's story and SO many coincidences, I just can't imagine that all 12 jurors could agree on a NG verdict. So my hope is that if we get a verdict, it's guilty. Otherwise we'll have a hung jury. NG will really shock me.

Yes - there were people using laptops in the "audience" on Friday...

Good morning all. Do you think we'll make it through a full day today?

I took a break this weekend. I hope all are refreshed and ready to start anew.

Did the camera go live at 9:30? Anything significant happen this morning?

  • #366
No, the judge just told the jury to set their own schedule for breaks and lunch.

Is anyone at the courthouse now? Was the jury dressed up, or casually dressed? Are they dressed up everyday or casually dressed? When my husband went for jury duty the week before last, he was stressed out over what to wear? I said, 'honey, it's johnston county, wear your good jeans and a decent shirt, you'll be fine.' :) And he was. Remember how in the scott peterson trial, the day of the verdict the jury was *dressed* for it?

The foreman wore a blazer the day the Cooper verdict came back as well.

I was walking out the door to head to the courthouse and had an urgent call from a client. So I'm stuck here instead. Oh well, I'm thankful I have a job. :)

Back in session!!!!

Seems like more than simply juror questions. Why is JLY sitting there alone, without his attornies? I thought, without attorney's present, he'd be in his holding cell?

I'm here (courtroom) now. Jason seated.

OMG, this is so stressful. Why is the judge and attorney's all out of the courtroom together? Copping a plea? Please don't let him plea. This was a premeditated cold-blooded murder. :( Where is fran, she should be here. FRANNNNIEE
