After reading upthread about the Amherst incident, just have to say that young lady followed her gut instincts, remembered what her mother had taught her, and thank heavens is safe!

It made me wonder if AM realized RAT was following her out of the gas station so she turned the opposite way from her original plans with the intention of making a quick turn into that loop on the right side of the road to get rid of him? Perhaps she thought he wouldn't be so brazen to pull in right there behind her. Poor thing, she just almost drove to his house unknowningly!

I am very conscious of who is behind me, how long they have been there, and if there is a question or doubt, I always turn the wrong way!

RSBM: The junkyard is computerized ( they know what is out there)- and has security- there is a lot of money tied up and made in this business. It is not an open rambling area that anyone can roam around in.

ETA: Customers & their parts are recorded- as many of the parts have a warranty / trade in if they do not work (mechanical parts). They have a record of who buys what and when.

I think she would have tweeted, texted, etc. if she felt she was in danger but still in control of her vehicle, since she used SM so much.

Yes, even the above article has the 26th as the date but it is given as the 24th by Nelson County Commonwealth's Attorney:

A bail hearing was held in the Nelson County Juvenile & Domestic Relations District Court this afternoon for Randy Allen Taylor who is charged with abduction in connection with the Alexis Murphy case.

Based on the evidence presented by the Commonwealth; and the defendant's prior record, Judge A. Ellen White, the presiding judge, denied Randy Taylor's request for bond and ordered that he continue to be held without bail.

After bail was denied, the defendant waived his right to a preliminary hearing on the felony abduction charge meaning that the case will go automatically to the Nelson County Circuit Court Grand Jury which meets September 24, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. The grand jury will decide whether to indict Taylor for abduction.

If L.e has enough to convince the judge he needs to stay in jail, I think they already have enough to convince a grand jury and four weeks to add to what they have.

I think you're right. IMO the judge ordered him held without bond for a reason.
At least now we have a little hope. imoo

No trial on the 26th, the Grand Jury will look at the evidence and decide if the charge (felony abduction) should go to Circuit Court and/or be a greater charge. If all LE has is a single hair (which we are not even certain on that), then it will remain where it is, in J&D Court, if it even goes forward at all.

I'm not sure who posted that info, but RAT's son's grandmother made the initial comment to new media. I'm not sure if it's mentioned above anywhere, but she also owns the land where his camper was located.

Mike Hallahan, presented the court with a photo of the mystery man who Taylor says left his property with Murphy on August 3, the night she disappeared, after allegedly selling Taylor $60 of marijuana.

Some confirmed yesterday...sounds like they got some test results back and/or found her phone for sure. imo

Alexis was abducted in, and I don't mean that accusingly, there's the McDonald's, the gas station, the salvage/car sales place. Do people also go up there to hang out and people watch? Believe me, I'm not going anywhere with this, but if I were to be...it would only be to wonder if RAT knew of this place, or was ever known to "people watch" around there, since he had such an affinity for hwy 29. If so, it might be a good idea to let LE know, IDK...

and there's a salvage/car sales place in Ruckersville, kinda kittycornered between Orange and Charlottesville, and we know who's from Orange, wonder if that's the place RAT worked, and wonder if that's the place the other POIs in SCs case repo'd from?
.Also wonder if I'll get bored looking up all these places, really weird how RAT just likes to stick around hwy 29 and so many of these places are either right on or very near all the places people are wondering if RAT dumped any bodies near. need to go do something, more positive.

Did anyone notice that's not the most recent photo of RAT, his Daffy Duck neck tattoo isn't on that one. So it's definitely an older photo.

The judge obviously thinks the evidence is strong enough to deny him bail, and she's not going to do that lightly. She won't do anything that would jeopardise a fair trial. I think LE may be building up a pretty strong case for the abduction, just wish RAT would say what he's done with Alexis.
