RSBM

Personal items (reported) and car found on Sunday (3/17/13). NJugo disappeared around 4:30 on Saturday (3/16/13). (there were conflicting reports of this time (4:30) being am and pm)

** Interestingly, as JustK noted... Jugo's car appeared to be found with windshield wipers "up" indicating they were on as it might have been raining. One would think rain would eliminate footprints more readily. However, maybe she just had the windshield wipers on for some other reason. What were the weather conditions during these hours?
I'm answering my own questions... it appears there was "light snow"

Thanks for the info, fred&edna. So perhaps the frozen precip helped preserve the footprints in the sand where rain would most likely eliminate them. wm

I've sat on a several things I've found for a few years now, for various reasons, each particular to me. This is something I found a LONG time ago, and didn't share because I thought it was just too out there. I recently decided to share it with another WSer, who had the same thoughts I had. So here it is:

http://www.fishtheisland.com/winner_circle_gallery.html

Look through the pics for a girl in a faded pink hoodie named Beverly. Look familiar?

You might also want to look through those pics (there are 2) for a pretty girl named Natasia. I think she looks like Natasha Jugo, but maybe my mind is playing tricks on me. I leave it up to the viewer to decide for themselves.

On her Myspace profile missing Natasha Jugo wrote this:

http://www.myspace.com/38914599

About myself:

I'm Blond 5'7 with hazel eyes and a thin/ athletic body. I'm into all kinds of sports especially skiing / snowboarding in the winter, fishing & inline skating in the summer. I'm very fun loving and spontaneous. I consider myself open minded and nice. I enjoy sports, travel, clubs, outdoors, .. anything thats fun. I don't mind the occasional movie but I'd rather be on the go.

TO THE MODERATORS, PLEASE HELP!
And by the way; I think all the Natasha Jugo related posts, on this thread AND the HODGE-PODGE thread, should be transfered to the Natasha Jugo thread.

I still think the guy in the pic with "Beverly" is Capt. Dan. :dunno:

But anyway, I tried to find a Beverly Costello in NY and only found a few. Anyone else given that a shot yet?

I did find one from CT that looks like the girl in the pic, although she's much older, imo.

I think it's an excellent idea that Amber's pink hoodie outfit would make sense for someone who expected to be going out on a boat.

I don't know if he's Capt Dan but I don't think he is RR. (jmo)

Do we have a "guesstimate" when these photos were taken?

I think it's an excellent idea that Amber's pink hoodie outfit would make sense for someone who expected to be going out on a boat.

On one of the fishing boat's website (I forget which one now, I've sleuthed so many!), it specifically tells patrons to bring along a hoodie, even in the daytime, because it gets chilly on the water.

If Amber were expecting to go out on a boat, her attire would make pefect sense, imo.

P.S. "Capt. Dan" isn't really a captain, btw. Or, at least, I don't think he is. I just needed a moniker of some sort to stick on his name without outting a non-POI in the case. Using just his first name seemed to personal. Like I know the guy, or something. LOL!

REQUEST FOR HELP!!!

It has been stated that ALC, a cupple of weeks before she disappeared
Sept 2, 2010 (that would have been ca. mid August 2010) was asked to meet a "John" at the Holiday Inn Express in Hauppauge, N.Y, the very same motel as wherefrom Megan Waterman disappeared 3 month earlier, June 6th 2010.

Now, if anyone know what date that "John" contacted ALC, PLEASE let me know, it is VERY important!!!

Thanks in advance...

The last night she was seen alive, Costello had two lengthy conversations with a man who answered her Craigslist Long Island ad, said her roommate, David Schaller. She agreed to meet him in a car parked around the corner, Schaller said. The client would pay $450 for two hours or $1,500 if she spent the night with him.

But the man set conditions: She was to bring nothing and tell no one where she went.

Schaller told her not to go.

"You can't do this," he said he told her. "At least take a phone so you can call me if something happens."

@The Foreignor,
Okay maybe this might help. That is if you take DS's word for it.
To me, his statement sounds like the John was an unknown, that he had answered the ad that day, called twice and talked at length with Amber each time. And had certain restrictions that would be deemed too unsafe, but the money offered was too good to resist.

I remember reading that it was a few months before she went missing. We spoke about this when we were discussing the CCC, UG, LIE, and the incident where ALC was dumped by the side of a highway.

"Interestingly, two of the women had a connection to the same Holiday Inn Express, located just off the Long Island Expressway in Hauppage, New York. According to Costello's roommate Dave Schaller, the pint-size escort received a call from a john who wanted her to meet him at the hotel at 1 a.m. a few weeks before she disappeared in September 2010. And Megan Waterman was staying at the same hotel with her boyfriend when she vanished without a trace three months earlier. Lorraine Ela, Megan's mother, said her daughter had logged onto Craigslist just after midnight on the night she went missing, and that videocameras showed her leaving the hotel at 1:30 a.m."

Just one more thought guess I didn't consider the fact that this could of been a drug house? As in DS was dealing drugs out of that house? Because even if he did drugs you can still call the cops and report some one missing unless if your hidding some thing much bigger then a crack pipe and a little bit of drugs that you could just do to get rid of quik. But what gets me is that I don't really look at DS as liar. I thought he came off kind of truthfull to be honest.
Sorry this is all of topic a little and just random thoughts about this but ALC thread needs to be bumped anyways. Have a good day all you sleuthers!

I definitely think DS was fearful of his drug activity being discovered. I also think Amber was his "sugar mama". Just my intuition from watching his interviews. I think he cared, but couldn't trust authorities to report her missing because of both of their illegal activities. But this is purely supposition on my part.

Does anyone know what is going on with the missing Natasha Jugo case? The news has been strangely nonexistent on this case. It seems very strange, especially given the area she was reported missing from, and the history of a missing woman in the area and murderd women being found nearby. Why has the family stayed so quiet? If it was my daughter I think I would be frantic to keep the story alive to make every effort to find her.

1AM in both cases. Interesting. What time do bars around there close?

Evidently, from the info below, ALC at least had her own pre-paid phone. Where did that phone end up?? DS had made it sound like she used his phone for business, and didn't take it that night. Sounds like BB vacated the premises to return to rehab one month before.

She attended a 28-day rehab program at St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson, where Brodsky said he met her. Both of them relapsed into drug use by the following spring.

Costello bought a prepaid cellphone and uploaded a Craigslist post advertising herself as a private dancer named Carolina, Brodsky said.

"That phone never stopped ringing," he said.

Schaller allowed her to work from his home. He and Brodsky say they did not act as pimps for Costello. But one of them was usually in another room when she had clients over. There were rules: Clients came to her and paid $200 an hour; she went only as far as she wanted to; and if a client demanded more, she called out for Schaller or Brodsky. The men would make the client leave -- in some cases physically removing him.

"It was a very controlled environment," Schaller said.

By midsummer, Brodsky said, Costello was earning $7,000 a week.

"She would lay the cash down on the table and say, 'Here, you can have $3,000 and I'll take four,' " Brodsky said.

By August, Brodsky was back in rehab. Costello kept living with Schaller until her disappearance the next month. Her vanishing didn't immediately cause alarm, since she had left at other times as well.

wonder what businesses are within a 3 square mile radius that are open until around that time, second shift style

OK so he took 3,000 and she took 4,000 (I know, just an example)...? Well I'm sorry, but that makes him a pimp. "Protecting" her in another room, and then handing him $3,000 at the end of a week is called being a PIMP. He may not be a 'gorilla pimp' (beats the girls, forces them to work) but he is still a pimp none the less.

I was doing some research on Maureen's case this morning, when something suddenly occurred to me. Amber is the only one of the GB4 where cell phone games weren't part of the equation. Maureen's cell phone was kept, and an attempt to access her voicemail , months after her disappearance, was tracked to Long Island. Melissa's phone was kept and used to torture her little sister, and to (allegedly) taunt her
"boyfriend", Johnny Terry. Megan's mother, Lorraine, recieved a strange call at work from someone claiming to be LE, asking about Megan's case. And, if you are of the belief that Shannan was a victim of LISK as well, phone games are certainly evident in her case as well. So...why not Amber? What makes HER different? Here are a few of the thoughts and questions I had, and bear in mind, it's early and my coffee hasn't kicked in yet.

1. We know that LISK had called Amber several times the day she went missing, and we know that he called her on at least one other occasion asking her to meet him at The Holiday Inn in Hauppauge (at least, this is what DS tells us)...so he HAD a contact number he could have used to play phone games, yet he didn't. How come?

2. Did he not call DS or KO because he knew they would recognize his voice?

3. Did he not call DS or KO because, unlike his other victims, he hadn't courted Amber long enough to have learned enough personal info to "creep out" a friend or family member with his knowledge of her?

4. Of all 4 victims, only Amber lived in Long Island. Maureen was from CT, Megan was from Maine, and Melissa lived in NYC, but she was originally from Buffalo, NY, which is where I believe her sister was living when the phone games were occurring. Perhaps LISK wasn't comfortable calling the phone of the one victim who lived in LI. If so, was this because he himself lives in LI ?

5. Did he not play phone games in Amber's case because he was unable to do so for some reason? Was he incarcerated, in rehab , ill (which makes me think of Magic Fingers from UG for some reason), attending to a family matter, out on a boat working, etc.etc. which made it impossible for him to call?

6. Was there something about Megan's case that struck too close to home and freaked him out about playing phone games? Or, if you throw Shannan into the mix, did her disappearance bring LE too close to his door for those kinds of games to be safely played? The problem with the theory that Shannan's murder caused the phone games to stop at Amber, in my mind anyway, is that Amber was murdered AFTER Shannan disappeared. In Shannan's case we have witnesses, a 911 call, a call to Mari with a name attached, a home that can be searched, a driver who can be questioned, and so on and so forth. It seems alittle absurd to me to think that LISK would bring Amber's body back to his dump site IF he were aware of everything that had gone on with Shannan (which is part of the reason I question whether Shannan was a victim of LISK, but I digress).

It just seems very significant to me that Amber, the only victim actually living on LI, was the only victim where phone games weren't part of the equation.

ETA: One a whim, I decided to check into the month of Sept. in terms of fishing. Found this:
http://www.discoverlongisland.com/things/beaches_ocean_fun/fishing/

The big fall run starting in September is when Long Island locals and dedicated fishermen know there are rewards to be had as the fish bulk up before they migrate for the winter.

Perhaps LISK was too busy to play phone games after he killed Amber. :dunno:
