I agree 100%, I can't explain it, I feel sad for all of the victims but there is something that makes my heart hurt for Jessica just a little bit more. Her eyes are so sad and lifeless, yet in her mug shot you catch a glimpse of her braid which seems to have a sweet innocence; juxtaposed with the violence that befell her.... it's sad.

According to Jessicas boyfriend (pimp) her torso was found in burlap. That would mean theres one killer. Not two. Her torso was found in Manorville in 2003. The rest of her remains were found on Ocean Pkwy in 2011.

I'm new here so please forgive me if this has already been discussed on another thread (I searched all for keywords and read this one first to try to make sure it hadn't). I'm curious if anyone has sleuthed party lines or chat lines? Before Craigslist and Backpage these phone services were one way that sex workers could find clientele. With a quick search they're surprisingly still advertised in NYC. With JT's timeline it is conceivable she may have used one.
IMO using a party line before online means were available/common could have been a method for finding victims more consistent with the SK(s)'s MO considering it's lower risk than driving around picking up girls, would have given the SK(s) the opportunity to groom the victim over the phone, and the significance of phones in the GB4 cases.

I always just chalked the look on her face up to drug use but now that you mention it... there really is something lost and sad in her face. It makes me very sad that there is such a lack of photos of these girls, especially Jessica Taylor. All we really have is her mugshot? That's sad to me.

I was the one who discovered the identity of remy/remi (KW) and his myspace page back in March 2012 (maybe the only valuable (to us here at WS) bit of sleuthing related to LISK I've ever done). At that time his myspace page contained a few photos of JT along with pics of KW's other working girls. I just remember thinking she looked young, and... in at least one photo... vulnerable. Also, I discovered she was known as "Lala".
It appears KW has changed the page and removed the photos. Someone (maybe theforeigner) saved screenshots and can possibly repost or provide a link to them?

Yes, that's the other thing about JT... no family advocate/spokesperson. I have to wonder what her short life was like - before working as a prostitute, and I also wonder how long she had known KW. Lots of unknowns with JT.

I also remember reading this about Jessica early on in this case many years ago. Now it is hard to find the articles that stated so. At any rate, I do remember the reports that said she was involved with heroin. Maybe that is an aspect of the investigation they no longer want public and have had it redacted? Strange.

No I do not believe there was ever an article on Jessica Taylor that said she was a drug addict. There is nothing that ever stated Jessica was involved with drugs as far I know. I could have sworn she was a heroin addict as well. We all made the mistake of assuming because of the way she looked. I don't think it is feasible that police would redact any mention of drugs in relation to Jessica Taylor. As far as we know, at this point, Jessica didn't do drugs.

Unfortunately the unresolved podcast just isn't a reliable source at all.

She also began to dabble in drugs when? So she was already a sex worker but she was "desperately scrambling" to her sex work? In my opinion, author read some wrong information on websleuths, and is trying to dramatize her storyline.

Yes, but I wouldn't trust what the guy says. For all we know he was behind Jessica's murder. It would benefit him to steer public or LE suspicion away from himself by claiming her torso was in burlap. I have never read or heard her torso was in burlap. I don't believe him.
LE said at the beginning of this case that the Manorville victims and the 4 victims in Gilgo had decidedly different stats. I'm aware we don't trust Spota, but I think it is interesting that in the beginning of this case it was released that :

As wrong as Spota has been with Burke and the likes I do believe the theory LE has. I don't buy that one boogieman is behind all of these bodies. I think jessica and jane doe 6 (as well as the other Manorville males) were victims of a Pimp/gang/drug traffickers.
