According to what I found the Remyline didn't even exist when JT was killed and the Remy from the tattoo was a person.

I am starting to try and find info on this poor young girl. Has anyone found an obituary? I am guessing from conflicting reports of her dob either 1983/1986. It is so sad she has no one to speak for her. I also read she was from a small town Upstate,NY.

I was reading through this just now, I didn't hear about this case till like two days ago and I hadn't logged on WS for ages. I had a few thoughts though as you will see others already came up with most of it.

First off I think that JT has to be linked to the others because of the fact that her head and hands were found within a mile or two of the other four girls. What are the odds that two totally unrelated killers are working and just happen to randomly be dumping body parts within a mile of each other. In my opinion it's unreasonable to suggest that this is just coincidence. If you think about how often body parts are found off the side of the road, even in this highly populated area, the statistical odds of this being a coincidence is basically zero.

I agree with what has been said about JT being a "street walker", but as someone pointed out earlier she was killed in 2003 at that time there was not the huge booming business of online escorts that there is today and craigslist may not have even existed. So it’s much more likely that he would be picking up streetwalkers at that time. I also think girls on craigslist are sort of considered to be the modern day equivalent of street walkers or if not then only one step up from street walkers.

I think JT was an early on victim, at this time he was much more careful, but he has now grown bolder as he has continued to get away with it. He may also feel his current MO puts him less at risk so he is less worried.

I think it’s clear that the tattoo defacing was to hide her identity; proof positive is that he also beheaded her and cut off her hands clearly in an effort to hide her identity. Why? Because he likely picked her up off the street where it might have been seen, and he likely frequented that area picking up prostitutes many of which he did not kill. Therefore he was worried that if she was identified there might be a slight chance that it could be traced back to him. He was also aware that when there is a killing like this and the body is unidentified the case never goes anywhere.

Another possibility - He most likely brought the ones he dismembered back to his residence or some other place he knew he would be alone for some period of time. Since this time his living situation may have changed such that he no longer lives alone, or no longer has access to the space he was using.

Lastly I’m usually a big supporter of LE and always give them the benefit of the doubt, but some of the stuff I've reading on this case so far is utterly ridiculous. They are clearly advancing the theories that will bring the least attention to the case in hopes that things will die down b/c this is going to end up being a difficult one to solve.

The only sensible thing I've heard was from some expert who worked at john jay college (don't remember his name or which article), and I think this is the key to this case. There are bound to have been girls he was with that he tired to harm but they got away, or he was planning to harm as thus acting unusually but then he decided not to, or women who have experienced a client that has tried to lure them out late at night without a "driver" with the promise of a big pay day. One of these girls remembering something about this guy and coming forward is what could break this case, and I don't really see what else could. They don't really have anything to go on.

The psychological profilers work hard and can be helpful, but please remember that they have ended up quite off the mark in more than one case. There is no amount of psychological witchcraft that can trump the cold hard fact that her hands and head were found within a mile of the other girls. This has to be the work of the same guy.

doh i just read that in november of 2011 the police started putting out that they did believe [the obvious] that Manorville killings to be related so that would make most of my post irrelevant, sorry.

Her cousin commented on the article, and a guy named KW (who clearly isn't literate enough to have properly read the cousin's comments) makes some threats to the cousin. I don't think this KW has anything to do with this; but I just wanted to share this since it's the only thing I could find where someone other than the police who actually knew Jessica has commented.

This KW is clearly not an intelligent person, and IMO, the way he commented that he "knew everyone that JT knew" makes me wonder if he was her pimp. Ugh. [link removed]. (MOO)

You're welcome! I found this link a while ago when I was trying to get more info about JT. I've been so tempted to make a comment on that article directed at this KW, but I don't know if I can refrain from saying what I want to say to him.

There was a comment on either the Shannan FB page or the Maureen, Melissa, Amber, Megan FB page from someone who said that Jessica's mother has declined to publicly ask for justice. It makes me very sad that nobody has come forward publicly to do this on her behalf. She was someone's daughter, cousin and friend. I've always felt that if we could find out more info on Jessica, we might be a bit closer in figuring out whether Manorville is related to GB and AC.

Craigslist was definitely around in 2003, but I don't know about the ads for sex. Judging by JT's past arrests, it sounds to me like she was more of a street walker than a call girl. I'd just like to know more about her associates and what she was doing in the year leading up to her death. I feel like this information would help answer a lot of questions.

I can't believe that there isn't anyone advocating for Jessica either. It's just wrong, IMHO.

There is someone else who knew Jessica and that is the tattoo artist, in Washington, DC. He was the one who told the police about the tattoo because he recognized it as his own work. That is how the police identified her.

I suspect they got a hit on the tattoo through a LE database and that is how they contacted the DC police. Don't know which agency tracked down or was contacted by the tattoo artist.

No, I just remember reading that the tattoo artist recognized his work. Why, if DC LE had a picture of the intact tattoo that they never put out to the media so that maybe someone, in the general public,would have recognized her from NY or DC.

I've always assumed that LE tracked down or sent out pictures and descriptions to tattoo parlors and someone came forward. It is curious isn't it? Because if there is any picture of the unblemished tattoo then that would be something that should have been shown to other prostitutes back in 2003.

Have you ever seen a photo of the unblemished tattoo? I'd love to know more about when she got the tattoo, who was with her when she got it, who is Remy, etc. I do remember reading that LE said that Remy was definitely a person, and that they had spoken with him, and that he was not a suspect.

I just can't understand why none of her friends and family have come forward to speak about her. I really don't get it.

I really didn't look at it closely. And, actually after I submitted it... I began thinking that Jessica Taylor is quite a common name. I'm now hesitant to believe that the KW in the link has any connection with the JT here. Might be best if I deleted the info... I'm not sure. Sorry:waitasec:
