There was a video at the beginning of this thread from Channel 12 News, Long Island. When you get to the video it is now gone but you can read the comments that follow to get the gist of what Melissa's mother said. Is that what you are talking about?

Maybe it's futile to keep rehashing the info we have but... recently, something was said that made me second guess my assumption that the GB4 were not dismembered and I thought of this vanishing news video.

I wonder if the ME meant a dismembered part or if they meant a piece of bone that may have been strewn or scattered. I also wonder why they would edit that out. If it was at LE asking and if so why?

I wonder if the ME meant a dismembered part or if they meant a piece of bone that may have been strewn or scattered. I also wonder why they would edit that out. If it was at LE asking and if so why?

Maybe it was just a part that was scattered due to animals etc. and of course that is understandable. Also, there is no proof that LE actually stopped the news station from airing her statement again. However, if the GB4 were dismembered... it would change a lot of things, at least in my mind.

Yes, there were rumors that they had been dismembered and I am not sure we have evidence to support that they were intact. I don't think LE has clarified this.

Did anyone see the video and if so, was it clear that she was talking about dismembered parts and not just a piece of bone carried off by animals. That was what I assumed and didn't think anything about it. But yes it would change everything and that would not have been a good detail for LE to have withheld. It would imply maybe that they were trying to keep the Manorville and OB murders separate for some reason and it is too important to just be something to ID the real killer.

Another detail I noticed recently in reviewing the first articles someone referenced was that only 2 of the girls were wrapped in burlap. That changes things a bit IMO. If only two were in burlap it would probably not be worth looking for stores that sell burlap. It would seem more like sacks that the SK just happened to have around.

MB phone was used to call her younger sister and the calls were traced to locations in Manhattan. According to her pimp he recieved calls also. Were those calls also traced?

If you ever watched the movie "trafficked" with Liam Neeson
or "conspiracy theory" with Mel Gibson - they use cell phones and have the phone line jump from one to another so the call appears to be placed in one location (lets say times square) but it is really a sophisticated means of calling from (lets say) babylon.

If this goes to trial, experts from the phone company can take the stand and present evidence that it is not impossible for a phone to be traced to Times Square when the call was really made in Babylon, Oak Beach, or the surrounding area.

So - just because the calls were traced to nyc - does not mean the call was MADE in nyc. That is the bummer of it all.

And wasn't Johnny Terry a suspect? Wouldn't that lead you to believe that investigators may have not been convinced that the caller was white?

I dont know who jt is. Also i recall MB family attorney say that according to MB sister and other sources the caller was white. The only person that I recall say he wasnt based on his profile is PB. He could be right. Also normal tone could be described as low. Dont know.

I read somewhere that after Melissa moved to the Bronx that she worked at a barbershop. Does anyone know if this is true or not? If she did does anyone know the name of the barbershop and its location. Mr Brendt believes the women were stalked. Maybe the killer was a customer.

Or it may mean that only those two girls had a common killer, and the others were killed by other people who dumped in the same area because it was accessable and isolated.

They were escorts though, not streetwalkers, so the killer hanging out in hotel parking lots would put him in the wrong demographic. Escorts meet their clients through arrangement, they don't walk the streets to pick them up.
